    Two pitch types break wrong

Been noticing that the 12-6 curve does not break up to down like falling off a table. It breaks similar to the regular curve pitch.

The screwball also is wrong. It should break into right handed hitters if thrown by a righty. Same for lefty pitchers and hitters obviously. It tends to look like just another curveball now and is breaking away from the hitters.

It's been like this for a while..hope they can and will address

It could also be the arm angle. They do break a bit differently depending on the arm angles in game. But yeah I’ve noticed some breaks needs work. 2-seamers is one of them. They barely breaks.

Which pitchers are you looking at for this? It depends on the break attribute for each pitch as well as the arm slot.

No particular pitcher. Are you saying that only windups that use an overhand delivery will allow a 12-6 break? I can possibly see that, but screwballs should behave correctly for any arm angle I would think.

When it comes to screwballs, the arm angle and finger pressure will make it seem as if some pitches that are classified as change-ups have the same break model as a screwball (and vice versa). The only difference likely being the spin rate. For example:

          Circle Change

          Screwball

The break pattern is very similar with the screwball having a little more dip in some cases.

Here's a great breakdown on curveballs from The Hardball Times circa 2008 (long before the sweeper, etc.): https://tht.fangraphs.com/working-ti...the-curveball/
