    Have to tried playing on "Legend +"? Using the Dynamic Difficulty, getting it to Legend + and then lowering the Dynamic Slider to 0 so it locks in at Legend + and never changes?

    Maybe that could help making things a tad harder with pinpoint against the CPU. Worth a shot.

    I'm currently grinding for it, all human sliders up, cpu sliders down, and I'm only pitching and quick simming my at bats until I want to lock in say Hall of Fame + for batting.

      I've tried all settings on simulation, but on competitive HOF/HOF, I'm like 6-15 in June with the Cardinals and the Braves just clobbered me, 9-3.

      Pinpoint pitching on competitive is much harder for me and I'm really enjoying it.

        The pitch speed seems slightly faster to me post patch. Anyone else noticing this?

          I haven't noticed it.
          I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

          I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

            So my past 2 games ive had 2 balls thrown in the dirt that my catcher got in front of for a dropped strike 3 , where i threw out the runner at 1st and both times it was a wild pitch. anyone else havin this issue? i thought this was fixed in the past?

              You know how I originally realized that Competitive was tougher to master mechanically? (at least as far as pitching)? Diamond Dynasty vs. CPU, with teams that are about the same as the real MLB teams ratings-wise. While it's true that you can stack your teams with all diamonds in that mode, it's still the same game we're playing offline when you set up normal rosters to play with.

              I only wish I would have discovered it sooner.

                Yes it was a GREAT find, talk about really having to think through at bats against a team like the Phillies or the Braves. I was like 10.5 games up before making the switch, now I'm trying to hold onto a 2.5 game lead.

                      Feeling the opposite. In the midst of a 1-9, team ERA is ballooning. 30-31 on the year now after a stellar start.

                      Also, threadly reminder offense is trash irl right now. Average BA is like .239.

                          I'm over a dozen games in post patch and I still don't see a significant difference in gameplay in regards to strikeouts, foul balls, hitting, pitching, etc.....

                          Prior to the patch I was averaging 8 strikeouts per game and my average hasn't changed post patch, still averaging 8 strikeouts per game.

                          I played the Brewers last night and had 3 at-bats (Willy Adames, and Rhys Hoskins twice) have at-bats that were over 12 pitches.

                          Maybe its play style, maybe its mechanics or maybe its Maybelline. I don't know but I'm personally not noticing a difference.

                            My strikeouts have gone up maybe 2 or 3 a game. Like I said nothing to write home about. Nothing like last year at all. Nothing else has changed at all for me. I've played probably 16 games or so since the patch. I play with higher contact and timing sliders for the CPU, so that could be a factor as to why I haven't noticed much. But, if no one had told me there was a patch I honestly wouldn't even know anything had changed.

                              An increase of 2 -3 a game is a lot imo. Before averaging 7 or 8 now always double digits, pretty much inline with my 23 numbers now

                                I'm talking 2 or 3 for all of my pitchers combined. Not just my starter. 23 I was getting 10-12 with my number 5 starter. It was through the roof with my top of the rotation guys. What made 23 so bad wasn't just the astronomical strikeout rates, it was that CPU offense was almost non existent. All contact was weak for the most part, and if you were able to score 4 runs you'd typically win. I played about 3 months of my franchise before I shelved it and hadn't given up a single double digit run game. CPU offense is still tough in 24 even with a few more Ks. Sliders and how people play factor into this game a lot though. That's why people get different results. Overall the change I've noticed is very minimal at best.
