    Under and over achievers

    What’s up,

Every single year I play a franchise season and every single year I have players on my teams that either dramatically over achieve or underperform. I’d like to hear yours. Both from the user’s side but also from the computers. As far as the computer it can be players that own you that really shouldn’t or Vice versa.

I’ll start. Last year on my orioles franchise I had Anthony Santander win the triple crown. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever lol. He also lead in hits and doubles. Considering nearly every other player on my team under achieved offensively.

Underachiever? Adam Wainwright. Not even debatable. For years I played with the St. Louis Cardinals and for years he stunk up the state of Missouri. One year when the game was released he even had an overall rating in the 90’s which was his ERA nearly ended up being. Just awful lol. I never understood it.

Who owns me? You ready for this? Mike Tauchman. Yep. Mike Tauchman. You would think it’s Mike Trout. It’s reached the point where I might as well intentionally walk the man. Your guess is as good as mine.

Who do I own? Aaron Judge. I know here comes the Judge right? Yeah, walking back to the dugout. You’d figure I’d have a hard time with that monster. Nope. Can of corn.

DJ Stewart overachiever. I didn't even thin he'd make the team before spring training.
Maneae underachiever. I would rather he be in the rotation but he hasn't underachieved in the bullpen once I drastically reduced his workload. But I had him pegged as a solid 3 starter.

Who owns me? Baseball is a funny game, because the Nationals have taken me to the woodshed and are in last in the NL East. The Braves and Phillies are neck-to-neck for first place but I roughly have a .500 record against both combined. Sadly tho, there will be no joy in Flushing Queens this go around. Barring a miracle occurs.

Isan Diaz. Signed him last year and he raked. Signed him this year again and he rakes. Mostly against RHP.

For the past couple of years or so, I have owned Mike Trout.

The guy I cannot seem to get out is Brandon Drury, he has ripped me when he was with the Reds, Padres and now the Angels. I will walk him to pitch to Trout.

Kyle Hendricks, I can’t seem to make solid contact against him at all. He messes with my timing

The guy that I have always hit good with is Matt Carpenter.
I’m really lagging behind on my franchise but I am hitting good with him this year as well, not getting big power numbers with him this year but he has a good batting average.

Through my first month of the Yankees franchise that I have going, Juan Soto is batting .220 with only 4 HR. He only raised it to .220 because he went on a bit of a streak. He was batting below .200 for the first half of the month. Hopefully he's getting it going now. Was pretty much a rally killer and automatic out for a while

On the flip side, Josh Naylor for Cleveland always kills me. Can never get that guy out.
