I’ve played 8 games since Wednesdays patch and 6 of them has been shut outs. It’s definitely caused something because that isn’t normal. Everything is weak grounders or pop ups that barely make it out of the infield, and I’m getting through every inning on 5 or 6 pitches, accept for one game. I can basically strike out batters at will with an inside fast ball now. It’s to the point I won’t even throw it there now. Also batters are taking way more pitches than they did before. They’ll stand and look at strike 1 and 2 every single time, and then hit something weak and in play on the third pitch. I know it said no gameplay changes, but it’s messed something up somewhere. This is in no way what was happening before that update. And 6 shut outs in 8 games is something beyond the normal ebbs and flows of the game. But I think I’m officially done with it for real this time. College Football comes out in a few days, and I don’t have the energy to make this one try to be playable again. Sad because this had by far been my favorite version of the game.

If you go in practice mode (in simulated game mode) with same roster, same sliders, same teams …what kind of results do you get ? In practice mode it will remove the hot & cold effect you may have in Franchise mode, maybe it would help to pinpoint what’s going on.

If you are using sliders I think the problem is with loading them… I had sliders saved before the update, loaded them after and the game felt horrible.. I then tried to close the game then reboot the game from the PlayStation menu and create brand new sliders from scratch using similar values and they appear to work! Something going on with loading sliders perhaps

I then tried to close the game then reboot the game from the PlayStation menu and create brand new sliders from scratch using similar values and they appear to work! Something going on with loading sliders perhaps

The day the patch dropped when I started the game everything had reset. It was like I was just booting up the game for the first time. So I had to fix everything back to where I had it. Your franchise saved to CLOUD?

If you think this is permanent for you, couldn’t you uninstall the game an install it again?

No unfortunately it isn’t. I was only about 2 months in but that’s still a lot of games.

Why don’t you save it to cloud? Uninstall, reinstall. Seriously, I don’t think it’s the patch, or these forums would be on fire. Maybe something got screwed up after the file was loaded into your PS. At this point it wouldn’t hurt.

I’m actually going to try this before I reinstall. That’s kind of what I’m feeling. The sliders are set, but they aren’t actually working. So I’m going to delete them and then set them again. I don’t change that much anyway.

Quick game update again using my settings, the cpu hitting is very good as you can see by the score, and it's making me have to rethink my bullpen and make some roster moves.

Side note, I just love playing at rogers. Fantastic looking ballpark in the game.

So to update. I deleted my saved sliders and reset them and played a few of exhibition games just pitching. That seems to have worked from just the s sample size. I don’t know why something would have messed with sliders for some people but resetting them appears to be the answer.

See! I knew it wasn’t just me noticing! The real question is if u shut the game down or use rest mode will the newly saved sliders load properly or do u need to set them fresh every time you boot the game ?

I've played after turning the system off and back on several times and it's fine. don't see a reason to set them every time.
