    What a game.

As I read what a crap show College Football is turning out to be and it does disappoint me a little bit b/c I wanted to get back into some football, but EA is gonna EA.

It just makes me want to give a shout out to MLB THE SHOW, it’s such an incredible game. Outside of some small things you can’t ask much more for a baseball simulation experience or sports game in general.

Sliders are locked in as good as I can get them and this game is just so so good.

College Football a crap show? First I'm hearing that... Both The Show 24 and CFB 25 are amazing games!

What are people's complaints? I played one game so far and it just seemed like a smoother Madden.

Have to agree. Every game feels so unique. A game the other day was ‘bloop hit day’ and it was great (when I did, not so much the cpu, lol). Half way thru my season and it’s still fresh. But that danged blue circle. .

College Football scoop - The “structure” of Dynasty Mode is a mess.

Sim Engine, Sim Stats, Rankings/Playoffs are off, No Recruiting Difficulty, 5 Star Recruits not signing, Lack of Coach Models, Can’t edit recruits numbers and appearance, can’t edit any real life players, no way to see team statistics, no trophy room, Caucasian Cornerbacks lol (recruit generator off a little),- those are just what I can remember off the top of my head.

I can't comment on the NCAA game, but I can concur that I'm fully locked in to the show 24 and will be playing it all through the winter.

But their team builder website is fire !!! Can create up to 5 uniforms per team, upload images for logos, can have many layers on each uniform parts (helmet, jersey, pants) so you can have alternate logos or honorific patches.... my dream for MLBTS

I downloaded the trial with my EA play... had fun first few hours. Then, like someone said, it plays like Madden but smoother. Is it a broken game, not really. It isn't what it seemed hyped up to be, though.
I found myself coming back to MLB The Show. There might have been maybe 2 releases of The show the last 5 to 7 years where I found myself shelving it. Besides those, The Show hardly disappoints. Of course, it isn't perfect, but at least for me, it's the best representation of a sport in a video game the last few years.

I'm in the same boat, I tried it through EA Play and was not blown away at all. I'm a hockey/baseball guy first and foremost, so it would've taken a lot to get me to put away the Show anyways, and NCAA 25 fell way short of doing that.

The Show is easily the best sim representation of a sport that I've ever played, but a sport like baseball lends itself to being truly simulated in a video game capacity because it has no finite clock (i.e. a clock countdown - 4 quarter's, 3 periods, 2 halves, etc...). Without going into a long diatribe as to why sports with finite clocks are inherently more difficult to replicate via video games, the Show's simulation of the sport it represents is second to none that I've ever played. For me, after the Show, the F1 series is next in line as far as an actual sim experience.

Your logic is sound. Baseball games can replicate 9 innings with realistic stats. F1 doesn’t get much love here, but that game can also replicate a 100% race length with realistic outcomes.

Some basketball and football games have gotten close but never quite there. Hockey and soccer? Forget about it. Most soccer games don’t even give a full 90 minute game as an option anymore as the engine is tuned for about 10 instead.

I picked up College Football 25 and it’s just ok at best. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money on it to be honest. I played it for about a day and am already back to The Show. It in no way lived up to the hype IMO. If it wasn’t for the 11 year gap it would be looked at as a mediocre game at best. Maybe I’ll get more into it as the weather cools down and college football actually starts. But, for now I’m not that thrilled with it. I think the people gushing about how it has taken over their lives, and how it’s the greatest game in the history of gaming just can’t admit to themselves that they spent 3 years hyping up something that isn’t that good.
