Let catcher call game

Was wondering do you let your catcher call the pitches or do it yourself. Im not the most skilled player so i dont know how to pitch to the cpu so i let my catcher call the game

I let the catcher call it but will occasionally override it and make my own pitch. There are times when they call the same pitch too many times in a row or a location I don't like. I'd say 95% of the time I let the catcher call it, 5% I do it myself.

I let him call the pitch and location. I have been doing this for years.

I usually already have an idea of what I want to throw, but I use it as a suggestion. It's for when I'm unsure of where to go next or between two different pitches. I don't like trusting it too much as it seems to want your worst at the wrong time as if the CPU is saying...

Oh, you had a 10-pitch at-bat and narrowly walked the #3 hitter? Okay, well, let's go with your terrible Splitter to the cleanup man that has light tower power. What can go wrong?

I'm 50/50 on letting my catcher call for pitches and deciding myself. But the location of the pitch, I will never let the catcher do that. I know best and I damn sure know better than the AI does in what exactly I'm trying to accomplish.

For Spring Training I let catcher call the game. Regular season and Post season is all me!

I've been doing this for years as well.

I've mentioned it in slider threads now and then, but people who complain about the lack of CPU offense should try this.
