I turned the game on and I have dancing lines when I play the game all over the screen. And when I’m in the main menu, the images of players are all messed up.

I turned on the CF25 game and it doesn’t do that. So it’s only the baseball game. It is digital. I have tried restarting the PS5. It seems to gravitate to the players faces but it is all over the screen. But only in games.Follow me on Twitch

If you’ve rebooted your PS5 already, try clearing the cache and/or rebuilding the database.
Turn your PS5 completely off, plug the controller in with the USB cable, then press and hold the power button on the PS5 until it beeps. You’ll get a menu which includes options to clear the cache or rebuild the database. It says it may take hours to rebuild the database, but it only actually takes a few minutes.Comment

I really hate to have to buy a new PS5 but I don't know what else it is. I don't think it could be the HDMI cord because it doesn't do that in the main menu and it doesn't do that in the CF25 game.Follow me on Twitch

I have an XSX, but my buddy has a PS5 and his leaked that cooling liquid metal or something he said as he was having the same issues you are.
You can probably google it. He ordered some parts and fixed it himself, but it was something to do with the cooling on the system board.
I would leave your PS5 off to prevent further damage, if you're into fixing things, you can probably fix it yourself. If not, take it into a repair shop to have it done.Comment

Is it just MLBTS, or is CF25 still freezing?
If it's just MLBTS and your other games are playing fine, I wouldn't think it's your PS5. Only other thing I can think to do would be to delete and reinstall the game.
If it's freezing or acting up with other games, then it's likely your PS5 unfortunately.Comment

So the lines appeared on MLB 24 with both PS5 and PS4 versions.
CF25 would not have the lines but it kept freezing. And actually found out it was just really long (3 minute) lags. Then it would start again and then freeze again. I thought it was freezing but then just had it on there while on the line with PS5 support. And it came back on but then kept doing it. It would freeze and about 10 seconds later the sound would turn off.
I played a NBA2K23 and I didn’t notice any issues but I wasn’t connected to the server.
Those are the only games I have.
I cleared the cache and cleared the database 3 times. I changed the resolution and HDR was already off.
PS5 support said I probably would have to send it in for repair. I don’t want to be without the game so I just bought a new PS5 today. Just got the digital one this time since I stopped buying disc games anyway.
Wife isn’t too happy but that’s my one bad habit. I don’t drink, gamble, or smoke. Lol.
I’m wondering if I could sell the old PS5 to Decluttr.

I even got a new HDMi cable thinking that was the cause. But same thing. Everything is up to date. Even tried playing with no internet and still has the issue.Follow me on Twitch

lol I was so mad. I was looking forward to this day for a while. My son started kindergarten this week so he’s in school all day and I’m off on Fridays. And my wife had to work all day today she normally goes in at 3:00 so this was a day that I have the house to myself and I could play until 3:00. But nope, spent the whole day going to Walmart twice, being on the phone with support, buying the PS5 and setting it up and downloading the game. So I didn’t even get to play.
