Re: MLB The Show 24 Patch #20 Adds Strauss Helmet Decals - Patch Notes
I googled Strauss and saw that it was a German workwear company. Basically the German Carhartt is what it looked like to me. I had no idea it was the Strauss in Levi-Strauss either.
I have no problems with ads in the stadiums, that's always been a thing. Leave them off the uniforms and the field though.Comment

This was only a matter of time. Every major sports league not in the US has had multiple sponsors on their uniforms for decades, we've been lucky to avoid this as long as we have. At this point, I'm just hoping the leagues keep it looking clean and we don't end up with something like this (from Diablos Rojos, the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol champions):

I watch quite a bit of the Mexican league and some of those uniforms look like NASCAR uniforms. I know ads are something we're going to have to get used to. I do hope they never look like that though. I also hope they don't resort to contracting out team names to companies like some leagues in other countries do.This was only a matter of time. The Strauss you see on the helmets is the german company, not Levi-Strauss.Sent from my LG-H873 using Operation Sports mobile appI googled Strauss and saw that it was a German workwear company. But, it doesn’t have to. Major League Baseball has been around since 1869 and the last two seasons are the only ones with ads. My point is they’re not needed.

Money talks. Baseball is a business. The way they see it, people are going to follow the sport regardless of the ads on the uniforms. So its a win-win for MLB and they make a lot more money.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

You’re unfortunately right. But I will contend that the ads are an eyesore.

We all know this my friend. But it does not change the amount of dissatisfaction old timers like us have with the gross cheapness they have made of their uniforms.
It’s flat out gross. I am just appreciative that I got to grow up in an age of less is more. This has infected everything we see and experience. Life has become one giant advertisement. Now Playing on PS5:

There are players who really overdo the bling and multi-crazy colored uniform accessories. Just take De La Cruz and his psychedelic ‘eye black’ he started using near the end of the year. C’mon! If everyone is allowed to ‘personalize’ their uniforms there will be no conformity at all and a small ad won’t matter. We all know this my friend. Yeah, its crazy but the one conformity that will make you recognize which players are on the same side will be by the advertisements. I hope I'm dead when teams decide they can make even more money when teams start changing their name to match their biggest sponsor. Tomorrow's game between Walmart and McDonald's sounds terrible .There are players who really overdo the bling and multi-crazy colored uniform accessories.
