    3B Mike Schmidt.
    LF Rickey Henderson.
    CF Kirby Puckett.
    RF Tony Gwynn.

And I'll add a pitcher and catcher just 'cause.
    P Doc Gooden.
    C Gary Garter.
    DH can be Mike Piazza.
    Thanks for the reply! :-)

I'll say that Thomas at 1B, Sandberg at 2B, Smith at SS, Puckett in CF and Henderson in LF are almost locked!

For Gwynn and Schmitd, I have Gwynn in 24 and had Schmidt in 23, so I was leaning towards Raines and Walker since I'm a big Expos fan!

As for the added players, kuddos, those are strong choices. If I had to play these position, it would surely be Pedro as SP, Ivan Rodriguez behind the plate, and as a DH, I would go against my heart and choose Big Papi!

Thinking about the process, and the fact there's 8 college in 25, I might put 1 in each, and work my way to the Big League. What I'm not sure is if I let the random of the game decide where they play, or as I did in 24, check at the team needs and choose a team. What I didn't like about the randomness is that 4 of the 8 guys we're drafted by the White Sox and 2 of the 4 others by the A's.

I have 3 weeks to put the final scenario down!

Yeah, I think if I were drafted by the White Sox or A's, I'd stay in school and become a doctor or lawyer.

On that topic...anyone rolling with the White Sox this year? Was hanging out while my toddler was(n't) napping, and briefly considered it, but I just don't really think I can get into that stadium. It's not bad at all, I'm just not a fan.

The thing I dislike most about doing a rebuild is that I just go too heavy on trades early, then can't get into it. The White Sox really only have 1 major league trade chip left though, in Luis Robert.

        Could be a fun build.

I am rebuild type player and yeah what I learned is making too many trades make the team sort of feel unrealistic. So I have to apply house rules to make it feel more real. Make like one big trade for someone's top prospect, and then some under the radar moves, but not getting any other top prospects. It's always been too easy to pry future stars from CPU teams the show.

But yeah that stadium isn't great to play multiple seasons with, plus being a rival of Cleveland, I could never use the CWS.

I think we're just at the point where my in-laws have been in my home for the past 3ish weeks, which has put a major damper on my gaming time, so I've spent too much time overthinking what team I might roll with.

I want to roll with the Jays, and want to get to the point where I have to outbid for him in free agency, but I worry that the lack of realistic trade chips could give me the opposite problem from having "too many trades".

I'd happily roll with the Rockies again, because they were a ton of fun, but I made it 3+ seasons with them and don't think I can start over.

Today, like every other day spent avoiding in-laws, I'm half thinking about using the Mariners. The pitching staff might be *too* good, but I think the lack of depth there, and the fact that the offence is border line non-existent behind Julio and some Cal Raleigh bombs, could be fun when it comes to tinkering with the lineup.

Who knows. Someone come and save me from these people...

Side note: They are lovely people, but I just want my couch back!

This is why God made beans and you eat them everyday until it is the in-laws decide enough is enough and they must avoid you at all cost. Cabbage works good too but I don't want to be around myself after eating it so I pretty much avoid it.

I wish face scans updated if you've already started a franchise like they do in NBA 2K

Haven't committed to 25 yet until I see Thursday Franchise stream but...

The only team i can do is my hometown team in the Seattle Mariners! I love our jerseys/stadium and always want to bring our first WS to Seattle. Lol it's reason I stopped playing NBA 2k for awhile until they brought in WNBA so I could play as the Seattle Storm, like my cousin is in the NBA but it just feels weird to play as anyone but my Seattle Sonics for NBA. And since they don't have a actual team right now I just play as the Storm for WNBA.

As for me I can't use the actual team rosters because i end up trying to stick to real life way too much, so I always do a fantasy draft now. I used to draft for all 30 teams but that took forever and always felt i was cheating somehow. So starting in 24 I started auto drafting my team until I got a good core I wanted to play with. After a bunch of time simulating the fantasy draft I finally got a core of SP Logan Gilbert, SP Cole Ragans, 1B Josh Naylor & 3B Josh Jung which has been my team and has been fun. So depending on what is shown on Thursday will determine if I stick with 24 or move to 25.

Any other Fantasy Draft Franchise players here?

I've done fantasy franchises in the past, the last one was maybe 3 years ago. I'm considering doing one this year. The only issue is that I prefer 30 team control which makes the fantasy draft very very painstaking.

Yea i also do 30 team, but that's why instead of drafting for every team (like i used 2) I just autodraft until the team i want has a good core that I'll want to play with. Because that seems most fair over drafting for all the teams

They only update if they had a proper face model rather than a CAP one. I really wish it could work for CAPs

Re: MLBtS ‘25 Franchise Team Thread

I think I’ve made my decision.

Main franchise team will be the Seattle Mariners. Last year I took over the Rockies and there are some huge differences between the 2 organizations. Obviously the offense climates are drastically different. It was easy putting anyone with decent hitting stats to go out and perform well above their attributes in Colorado. Meanwhile my best pitchers never had an ERA under 3.20. Seattle offers the opposite. Offense is going to lag behind and pitching is going to be the focus.

But also, the Rockies current roster and farm system was rather light. Other than an emerging Tovar, a solidified Ryan McMahan and Nolan Jones (an emerging Doyle but he didn’t break out until 2024 so his attributes were not updated for my franchise). The Mariners have a similar situation with Julio being the big offsensive threat. And a power hitting defense specialist backstop in Cal Raleigh.

Plus, the playoff droughts and World Series droughts are fun storylines. I’m excited to see how good of a pitching staff I can build and who will be the difference makers in the lineup.

For my RTTS. I like to do a different position each year and a different play style.

                                Here’s what I’ve done already
CLE R/R 3B CON and PWR, no speed
                                CIN S/R CF 5-Tools
BAL L/R C PWR and CON
TEX S/R 2B SPD and CON
TOR L/L RF PWR and SPD with low vs L

My RTTS this year will be a R/R SS think Bobby Witt Jr but lower speed and higher fielding. I want to rake and average around .300/30/30SB in my prime each year.
Last year I averaged over .300/50 HR, which was fun but I’m ready to get excited over homers again, not expect 50+

The team? Milwaukee Brewers. I don’t think they have a solidified next in line SS after Adames and I like playing at their stadium. They’re contenders but not a power house and always slept on without much deep postseason runs (shoutout Pete Alonso).
