I wouldn’t be surprised if a steelbook gets announced soon featuring the Negro Leagues.
When they release some info on NL legends they will probably release info on a collectors edition.MLB: TORONTO BLUE JAYS
NFL: MINNESOTA VIKINGS
NHL: TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
NBA: TORONTO RAPTORSComment

For some reason I always need the box. I am an old fart. I do hate waiting a few extra days but I dont start franchise until first in season update anyway with Sasaki and the other imports.Mets Baseball, All Day Every Day

I forgot about him, that’s going to be a 5 or 6 week wait to work on rosters. Only Ohtani got special treatment with that, can only hope he does tooComment

I'd imagine it will be similar to Yamamoto last year, i feel like he was added pretty early on. The Dodgers open in Japan against the Cubs early again this year and I'd imagine they will pitch him in that seriesChicago Cubs

Re: MLB The Show 25: Release Date, Early Access Date, and Preorder Information
Steelbook and other physical pre-order rewards are going away since everything is being pushed digital now. I doubt it’s a money thing and more so that most purchases are digital so not really a reason to keep making those. Let’s see if they release something about if in the coming days though.Comment

With the amount of hype around his signing plus him being in the game with a scan in a previous version (2023 with the WBC), I hope his process gets "expedited" a bit this year.

Good point plus the Dodgers have the other asian import also at 2B so maybe he gets in fast.Mets Baseball, All Day Every Day

I wonder (even if its 20 years away) if we will ever get to a point where it is digital only and no more physical copiesMets Baseball, All Day Every Day

Re: MLB The Show 25: Release Date, Early Access Date, and Preorder Information
I’m curious what the split it for digital vs. disc sales. I haven’t purchased a physical copy in 10 years and while I thought I’d hate it, I absolutely love it. My full library is available to me at all times and my concern about older games not being available is pretty much gone since even my old XBox games from last gen all work (and some 360 games as well). With download speeds pretty fast now and pre-downloading available, I can play games like MLBTS at midnight on release and can pick and choose what games I want to play then. The MLBTS servers at launch on the other hand…Comment

Re: MLB The Show 25: Release Date, Early Access Date, and Preorder Information
But as a franchise player, I just won't buy the game bc I'm not going to buy a game that I haven't enjoyed in years when I've trialed it on gamepass. Had it come to PC, I would have bought it bc of future mods and because I could play it on the go on my steamdeck. IDK why they refuse to adopt PC, probably scared mods will make updated rosters in perpetuity and that they couldn't sell the same game to everyone every year.Comment
