Yeah graphics go only so far. Once you realize a game sucks, the graphics don't matter anymore. I played '24 for an entire year with those graphics and will do the same with '25 most likely because it's a great game of baseball.

Not knocking those who demand a better looking game at all, but to me the game looks good.

You have to wonder and i ask this keep in mind knowing nothing about what is takes to make a game. Do they plan to wait on the graphic leap for the next console?

Just noticed in the brief glimpse of Yankee Stadium that they finally removed the auxiliary scoreboards.

The game does look good, but at this point it needs to look great. There’s really no excuse for it anymore especially now that it’s a “next gen only” title.

The amount of money likely made from DD alone, there should be no excuse not to have continued great gameplay, improved graphics, improved stadium creator, and even an Era's mode (NBA2K-like). No reason they could not hire additional resources!

Quickly found an article from August 2023, with the following headline. How could they not hire more resources at ~ $200k a piece?!

            No excuse!

I think that the frustration is with that the graphics haven't had substantial improvements from last gen.

Graphics aren't my top ask but I do tend to side with the point that there needs to be more improvement.

I think both sides of this argument want their point to be heard and both sides get frustrated over what the other thinks.

In the end, we all have different opinions on what is important and both sides are at fault for dismissing the other sides opinions. If both sides just said, 'I acknowledge your opinion on the graphics, but my opinion is different ' this argument would be a whole lot less annoying to read.

Fair enough, people just differ on what looks great, or good enough to meet what I'm willing to spend 1000+ hours playing. Neither side is wrong.

I'm just not part of the "no excuses" crowd. If the game is good, and looks good, I'll play it. It's that simple.

Curious how many college teams are actually in the game.

Tennessee, UCLA, LSU, TCU, Cal State Fullerton confirmed thus far
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Don't get me wrong, I've got every version of this game since MLB 06 and I won't stop this year, but the stagnation with this series is real.

Last year was the first time in the history of me playing that I played Diamond Dynasty 99% of the year. The offline experience is just so stale despite how great it plays on the field.

The outdated graphics don't help, either. Again, the game looks very good but at this point it still doesn't look like a true next gen title.

Saw on that clip of the Dodgers celebrating the WS that they didn't have the WS patches on their jersey. I hope that wasn't removed from last year. That really added a lot to the immersion of franchise.

I liked the sound of the metal bats, and the ball hitting the chain link fence.

I've got no complaints from the trailer. I thought 24 looked great, I think 25 looks great.

And we finally get Manny Ramirez. Can't wait to have him and Papi in DD.

Well considering we were saying that 7+ years ago while waiting for the PS5 to come out, maybe you'll see where the frustration is coming from.

Really disappointing visuals but at this point I'm not surprised. I honestly think their engine has hit a wall and it would require a significant amount of work to build something new. They will need to pull the band aid off eventually and do something or the series will not survive once PS6 arrives, all other sports games and other genres are fast leaving them behind with visuals and animation and there is no arguing this IMO.

The only think that has a bit of interest from me is the new GOAT difficulty, which IMO was very much needed for pitching
