Re: Some franchise gameplay by DaddyD
I’m not sure the Nats would do it either, given they just acquired Lowe to hold down a long term position of weakness for a few years and their outfield is fairly crowded!
That said, I think people overrate prospects generally in trades, and some of what we see in the game isn’t as crazy as people make it sound. I think the game struggles with guys who are in the process of graduating from stud prospect to real MLB star. Their ages are in “prospect” territory and their in game overall may not have caught up to their real life performance, so the trade logic may well see them as more of a prospect than they actually are.
Idk, i'm trying not to kill the thought of these trades before playing the game first hand - i'm trying to give the dev team benefit of the doubt that they improved trade logic. I'm sure we'll see plenty that don't make sense... I guess thats what makes the game interesting.ATLANTA BRAVES

He was speaking about his own draft picks and noting that he did no scouting. I’d expect the results to be different if he scouted some players.Comment

Re: Some franchise gameplay by DaddyD
Yeah like I said I don’t know why this keeps showing up, and why it’s just a random few teams. Hopefully this just isn’t the final build.
But rewatching the Rays had only played 11 night games
The White Sox only 9
The Astros only 11
This is halfway through May.
The Rays have much much more night games than 11. The glitch only affects home games so I'm guessing the few night games they played were Away games.Comment

Re: Some franchise gameplay by DaddyD
I was looking at the real life schedule a couple of months ago and there were some teams that still had tba for start times on their schedule. I think Cleveland was one of those teams and I think they were one of the teams that had start time issues last year. I wonder if some teams are late getting start times announced and then somehow in the game those tba start times end up being day games.Comment

The guy who made the video admitted he isn't a franchise guy. He gave a 32 year old RP a 15 year contract. If the devs were correct that RP will be untradeable and he will be stuck with that contract.
What I noticed is the screen to re-sign a pending free agent from your own team remains the same. Not sure if he showed the trading block but in mlbts23 which is the last edition I own teams put pending free agents on the trading block. My plan will be to try to acquire those players and then re-sign them during the 5 day period after the end of the season rather than compete for free agents. My self imposed trade restrictions which haven't changed for many years will be put to the test.Last edited by tessl; 03-12-2025, 03:11 PM.≡Comment

I don't know what the exact date was but the White Sox is pretty light on night games in the first month. But I counted 11 through April.

Good thing about the Rays is they play indoors so it really doesn’t matter. It doesn’t change the look of anything really. The White Sox and Astros had the same issue last year, so maybe they’re still using last years schedules as a place holder. Still holding out hope that it’ll be correct on final release.
The only division it didn't show was the NL East so it would have been interesting to see if the Mets still had the off times.Comment

Re: Some franchise gameplay by DaddyD
They were fine. They’d had 30 night games by that point. It showed it for a split second and you had to pause at the right time. It took me about 20 tries to do it. I’m dedicated. LolLast edited by bronxbombers21325; 03-12-2025, 03:55 PM.Comment

Edit: Nevermind, I got it at the right spot. Everyone in that division looked fine.Last edited by PhlliesPhan6; 03-12-2025, 04:09 PM.Comment
