For me I grew up in Sacramento going to A's games but couldn't invest in a team that ownership wouldn't invest in. Got to go to a Tony Gwynn baseball camp and the rest is history. Go Friars Go!
Moved to LA in 2021 and being closer to SD it's made it even easier to follow the team. Doesn't hurt that I'm 37 and as I've gotten older my love for baseball has risen while other sports have taken a backseat. I assume it because my life's so busy with 2 kids and it's a sport you can turn on and the announcers make it easy to follow along as background noise or its the 1 sport that radio works seamlessly with. Games are also much more accessible being on all hours of the day.

, I always cheered for Toronto. That was until a little known duo graced the Oakland A's jerseys in the late 80's. THE BASH BROTHERS!!! Suddenly I had a new team to cheer for as my favourite player was none other than.....Jose Canseco!!! I absolutely loved the player he was as he was so opposite of how I played the game. My fondest memory was when I received a t-shirt from my Aunt for my birthday after he had a crazy year.
