          Re: IndianSummer

A little update and a thought.
I am hoping to be released from the hospital Sunday, this is my third major bout with cancer.
I am speaking for myself but I think personal attitude and faith has been key for me in these battles. There is nothing I can do about this other than stay positive and let God make the decisions.

In 2021 when the game dropped I was battling blood/marrow cancer and didn’t get home until July. That wasn’t to terrible as I think that was the year Y2Y was eliminated so I had my 20 franchise to stick with.
This year is eating me up as I am ready to get home and download the game and play.

I really want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. This group at OS are very giving as I have had several offer to gift me the game. I will not reveal their names as I have done the same in the past and wanted to be kept anonymous myself.

Good medicine is just coming on the forums and reading for me.

          God Bless you all.
          Ron.

            Update:
I have Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It’s not curable but it can be controlled somewhat. There is too much money to be made to cure cancer.

Today will be my last day of a chemo IV.
I still have a long way to go with a pill chemo but I am hopeful that they will send me home to continue that treatment. I will have to go for blood work every week for a bit but that’s simple.

I’m really tired of being stuck in the hospital, been 2 weeks or so. Ready to play some ball.

Thoughts and prayers man. Positive vibes being sent and hopefully you can be released home soon.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Stay strong man. It’s a battle, but science has proven the mind can do really amazing things. The positive attitude no doubt can only help. God bless you and may he give you the strength and resolve to get through this trying time

Prayer said for Ron. Hate to hear that. Wife and started down our own journey a few years ago. My best advice is one day/one test at a time. You think about the big picture too much it can become overwhelming.

I was sent home yesterday afternoon. I was gifted the game (thank you) and have played about 5 innings. I have tried twice today but I feel terrible so haven’t made any progress.

Graphics look really good, I’m seeing more groundballs. Once again gameplay is very smooth.

Long long road ahead of me.

                          God Bless ya’ll.
