    Difficulty settings discussion.

One of my biggest issues with these games is getting the difficulty just right. I’m playing with pitching set to G.O.A.T and I’m still finding the pitching too easy. I play metered btw.

As for hitting, Hall of Fame has been my sweet spot with default sliders but in 25 it feels like it’s too easy, it now feels like All Star and I’m wondering if Legend hitting is more like what Hall of Fame used to be.

Crank up the CPU contact slider all the way for a couple games up and see what happens.

For hitting, you might just be on a hot streak. How many games have you played?

Just playing my first game of 25 right now. I’ve been playing 24 a lot and so I know what Hall of Fame hitting felt like to a T and in 25 not only does the pitching speed on default seem slower but the PCI’s seem to be bigger as well. Maybe I will have to try Legend

This year I’m just setting difficulty on dynamic and letting it ride. I always have fun playing regardless of the difficulty so why not just sit back and enjoy.

Yep I pretty much feel the same way, I never really liked messing with sliders either.

Also who are you pitching with? If it’s an 85+ pitcher, you’ll see some level of having it easier to beat the CPU. I always test guys in the mid-60s to low-70s so I can test of it’s actually harder or not. That’s how I knew 23 was too easy because my 65 rated pitchers were getting 10ks way too easily.

Dodgers so yeah I think all of them are over 85. I have to crank the sliders up for everything or it will just be way too easy. Last year in 24 I was 15 games over 500 and the game just starts to get boring.

Try lowering human control and consistency to 0 on GOAT. That helped a bit for me

Dynamic Difficulty, with dynamic difficulty slider set to ten. When I get to the All-Star break, I change it to one.
Human Pitcher and Consistency set to one. CPU set to six.
CPU Contact Power Timing and Solid Hits set to 9. Human set to four.

I find that my issue is CPU contact. I’ll give up a few hits on Legend, but the contact is pretty soft. I’ll throw a meatball slider or curve and it’s a pop to the OF when it should be crushed. I feel like they fixed the too many strikeouts issue, but I’ll have to try GOAT to see if I give up more good contact.

I play on Pinpoint with no ball cursor and vibration off so I know that is also an issue since it’s too easy. May have to go back to meter as well since I like some sort of control of my pitching.

Just opened the game today. I moved from All Star to HOF for MLB 24. Was a decent challenge and the realism was quite good as always. I played the spring opener this afternoon as the Mets hosting the Astros. HOF default sliders with cpu fastball velocity turned up 3 notches from default, meter pitching. Won 8-0 limiting the Astros to 3 hits and 15K's. Cpu hit one ball hard all game. I used 5 pitchers and basically started to hang stuff in the zone to see if the cpu would respond accordingly. They didn't. Might be time to up the difficulty to Legend.
