What's baffling is it was overdone on release last year too, and they fixed it. So, why they felt the need to change it back is beyond me. Of the countless baseball games I've attended I've never heard a chant outside of it being a big moment in the game. I've never heard crowd chanting over and over agian with 2 outs and no one on in the first inning.

Honestly I'm over Boog and Singleton in general. I'm to the point that I can't stand listening to either of them but I don't like playing with commentary off. When Singleton starts one of his long winded stories I just sit back and eye roll. Like not this one again.

Re: Buzzkills during games
They didn’t mean to change it back. It only started happening on the latest release. It seems like whenever they make audio updates, other audio areas seem to get screwed up and then they have to fix those. Not too worried about it since it’s a new bug for this year and will most likely be fixed in a near patch. What's baffling is it was overdone on release last year too, and they fixed it. Re: Buzzkills during games
They added a new stadium sound at Angel Stadium that plays like 3 times an at bat (I think it's suppsed to be like a royalty free version of the "Day-O" thing that they do sometimes) but it happens so often that I can't play at the Big A anymore. I really hope it gets fixed.Sliding into 1st I think is related to using the analog stick, so I see it almost every at bat. I also hear "base hit to right field" on most routine groundouts. I sometimes get both the same play
The stadium sounds at most stadiums get played too much and too loud. I couldn't play as the Yankees for the star wars noise or Arizona for the rattlesnake sound every 2 outs.
Also I feel like the audio mix is all over the place. Like the PA announcer does not sound like they are coming from a stadium sound system and more like they are just talking through a radio filter on top of the game. It also doesn't help that it seems like the crowd never reacts correctly to the names being announced.Comment

Re: Buzzkills during games
I just played a series there. I really like the amount of various sound effects they had going on, my only complaint is the amount of times the "day-o" thing plays. If they cut it down it would be fine. They added a new stadium sound at Angel Stadium that plays like 3 times an at bat (I think it's suppsed to be like a royalty free version of the "Day-O" thing that they do sometimes) but it happens so often that I can't play at the Big A anymore. Re: Buzzkills during games
The crowd sounds more like static from an old tv than an actual crowd when nothing else is going on too. Very annoying. And then the PA announcers, especially the new ones are just as loud as the commentary team. They added a new stadium sound at Angel Stadium that plays like 3 times an at bat (I think it's suppsed to be like a royalty free version of the "Day-O" thing that they do sometimes) but it happens so often that I can't play at the Big A anymore. Re: Buzzkills during games
As I had previously mentioned, I have played several test games, and many DD games, and have never seen a baserunner slide into first. Two things that seemed minor at first have really killed the vibe when playing games.
1) baserunners sliding into first base. Not sure how this made it through testing. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
2) crowd chants such as “Let’s go Cubbies!!”, or “Let’s go Nats!!” Sounds like five annoying people in your livingroom trying to get under your skin by chanting for their team at any opportunity possible. Thinking it would be nice to have a slider for crowd chants that could be turned down (or off). Hoping someone at SD Studios reads these complaints and fixes them🙏
The crowd chants, I do agree is definitely way overdone and throw in the commentary (which I thought Madden had bad commentary) which is cringe worthy most of the time, and I'm a bit disappointed in this area.
I have already turned the music completely down, and if there is no way to update commentary, then as bad as I hate to say it, commentary will be turned down as well, I'm not one who likes playing without it, but as repetitive as it is, it's not worth it.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Buzzkills during games
The commentary is best in small doses. Inside my franchise I turn them on only once a week, for one of the weekend games. I feel like I can hear enough of what they have to say for about 26 of 162 games. As I had previously mentioned, I have played several test games, and many DD games, and have never seen a baserunner slide into first.

Re: Buzzkills during games
Sounds like the same issue as the Rogers Centre...I'm surprised they haven't worn out botton that plays the "Everybody clap your hands...clapclapclapclapclapclapclap" track.
And that's real-life in Toronto

Re: Buzzkills during games
Definitely the Perfect-Perfect HR camera for me. I've always loved the default HR camera they've used for years now, even though a lot of people hate it. But that god-awful front facing camera they have for Perfect-Perfect HRs now is a travestyComment

Yeah I really don't know who decided that's what this game needed, because it is atrocious. Takes me completely out of the moment every time I see it.Comment

It’s actually grown on me to the point that I don’t dislike it anymore. Maybe just because it’s something new and different. So count me in that group that kind of likes it now.

Re: Buzzkills during games
Do you use button hitting? Sliding into first happens almost every AB when using the analog stride swinging because you flick the stick up to swing which results in your batter processing that command and sliding into first. As I had previously mentioned, I have played several test games, and many DD games, and have never seen a baserunner slide into first.
