No new equipment from this patch. Kind of a bummer. Not much to write home about on equipment this year

Are my eyes decieving me or were Wilson 2K gloves removed on 25? Please tell me that was an early access thing.

I have not looked since retail release.

All I saw were A2000’s.

Does cloud cover still default to "Clear" for every game?

Yes. It can still be changed manually from the pregame options screen. It's a bug, and I'm still hoping it gets fixed.

That doesn't mean that every game is locked to clear weather if you can't select it - Custom Game Entry and RTTS still have randomized weather. Wouldn't surprise me if entry via Player Lock in Franchise does too.

Yeah. I just like not having to manually set the weather for every game. It also defaults to The Show Them for all games. In the past it would default to the Regional Theme except for Nationally Televised type games. I know this can be changed as well.

I've played 3 games since patch dropped.

2 of the games were warm weather games temp 80s and the 3rd base coach didn't wear a jacket.

1 game the temp was in the 60s and he was wearing a jacket, and the umps were in long sleeves. The first base coach still had on short sleeves.

So I'm not sure what to make of it.

Weather still isn't randomized in the pre-game options, and I think it still always defaults to The Show network. Neither of those were addressed yet.

I will point out that there's kind of a workaround for both of those, though. Entering a game with Custom Game Entry DOES randomize the weather and uses the regional theme when it's appropriate. If you move the CGE bar one spot from the far left you will jump into the game on first pitch, and you can play it from there if you like.

This does disable the storylines and other pregame scenes though, so if you want those make a note of the weather (the game log will spell it out if you're not sure) and theme while you're in the game, then dashboard out of The Show, reload the franchise save and enter the game with the full game option. There, you'll be able to match the weather and network theme.

Yes, that's a lot of work that I was hoping to not have to do as of this patch, but I just thought I'd share that CGE finding since it's apparently not fixed yet.

I'll check on the ticker bug too with the league leaders, but I kinda doubt that one's been touched either.

They’ll definitely fix it at some point, but this seemed to fix bugs that mostly crashed the game and got in what they could since they were more urgent. I like the randomness of the weather and the broadcast type, but we can change it to whatever we want so it’s not as urgent as the other fixes, if that makes sense.

Makes you wonder if the create a stadium is being left for dead. I wish they would at least announce that they are trying to fix it.

To be fair I don’t think a lot of new equipment has been introduced in the MLB thus far. But we’re still missing some very popular equipment that has been around for awhile. ahem the low top huarache! This would prob make the game for me if they were added.

Yeah I believe they just have 3 A2000 models. The Gunnar one can not be edited and the other two are sort of glitches where you cannot change the web type unless you change it to the snakeskin pattern.

Hoping one of these years they give equipment some love. It was a great addition when they added real brands but the past few iterations keep introducing new things to be annoyed about. Im not sure how much of the "blame" belongs to SDS vs the brands themselves. It's not the biggest deal, but definitely adds to the immersion when they get the details right

If anyone has the capacity, can you run a test game in Atlanta in June July or August and see if the Braves third base coach is still wearing the jacket. I wasn't able to test it before going to work. Thanks!

People acting like the game is unbearable because the weather isn’t random this year or you have to choose your own broadcast package is absolutely hilarious to me.

Imagine if we weren’t allowed to change either and the game just chose for you. I much prefer this.

The thing is, even if it was "working", you could still change it to whatever weather you want anyway. So I don't know why this is such a problem for people. Just pick whatever weather or broadcast that you want for each game.

When you say dashboard out, do you mean close the game?

What do you mean by match the weather and the network theme?
