    CPU pitcher awareness when quick runner on base

    I’m wondering if anyone else is noticing this;
    In previous editions when you had a fast runner on base the CPU would often do a quick pitch or pickoff early in the count, this year it looks like they’re not bothered at all. Easy steal every-time.

    Nobody uses a slide step in real life anymore so I’m happy they got rid of it. As for pickoffs, I’ve seen plenty this year, especially when you take a longer lead.

      This doesn't help for online but I turn down the baserunner speed slider one click below default.

        I’m going to add, I do wish they fixed the one pickoff that the CPU does. They should use 2 or 3 in certain cases. It is too easy to steal if you don’t get caught on the first pickoff because you know that they won’t throw over again.

          I wish there was an option to just disable the disengagement rule, honestly. Not because I think the rule is bad IRL, I just don't think it translates well over to the video game. The AI just doesn't know how to deal with it so it's just limited to throwing over one time to be safe.

            I agree to a certain extent. Both this and the clock are cool additions, but they didn’t actually implement them. The clock doesn’t matter as much, but this one makes an impact to the game. The only thing I would say is it was annoying when you’d get caught in a situation where the CPU would throw over too much. But I’d rather have that then have it be too easy to steal because of how they set it up now.
