I’m just glad I’m striking out some using timing. In the past I barely struck out, this year’s game I’m striking out 5-10 times a game.

Quite a few. I played with the Royals and both Bobby Witt and Salvy were hitting bombs like crazy.

And in my Braves Franchise, Riley, Olsen, and Ozuna were hitting them like crazy.

One of reasons I switched to HOF.

What sliders did you use on all star if any? I’m struggling bad. Pitch speeds seem crazy this year SO MUCH weak contact, and massive lack of power overall. What was ya sliders if any on all star?

          Default. Except for injuries.

I feel like fastballs have more life as they approach the plate this year, which is causing me to be way early on off speed pitches.

Just curious if you guys are experiencing anything similar or maybe my old age is just catching up with me!

            Thanks Fellas
I find it a little harder, but that's a good thing. Exit velo and home runs needed to be toned down.

I can't believe the difference between all star and all star plus for me. I started out on veteran dynamic difficulty with the intention of getting to all star plus and turning the sensitivity to 0 so I stay on all star play. I made it to all star plus in probably 2-3 games and now I can't hit to save my life. I was under the impression as difficulty increased the opposing pitcher just made better pitches but it seems to me like pitch speed increases. I am late on EVERYTHING on all star plus and pitches seem harder to recognize. Here is a shot of my lineup's averages through 11 games, granted my two best hitters are Winker and McNeil and they're being platooned so it's a little skewed not having them in there. I do lead the league in HRs but they're mainly solo shots. I was just playing a game and was down 9-0 in the 6th so I changed the difficulty to all star and I put up ten runs and six HRs in four innings. I'm going to try and experiment on all star plus with lower pitch speeds to see if I can find the sweet spot for me

I'll revisit this topic. I play on veteran all star, default sliders. I've gotten to a pretty large sample size at this point, and can say hitting home runs isn't a problem. Hitting singles isn't a problem either. But doubles and triples seems to be what is lacking. Anything that I hit to the gap that looks like a sure double dies when it hits the ground and ends up being a single. I was honestly getting a better hit variety in 24, but it was too home run heavy because of the crazy exit velos. I got a better variety of singles, doubles, and triples though. This year is single or HR for the most part.

I don't seem to be having that problem at all. I wonder what the different could be.

Try All-Star. The pitches are slightly faster but it makes it easier to judge the difference in pitches. Plus the PCI is smaller which I find to be easier to get better contact on my hits.

I do play on all star. I don’t know why I typed veteran.

But, last 2 games. First game 11 hits, 3 HR the rest singles. Last game, 10 hits 2 HR, the rest singles.

Don’t know what it is but I may get 1 or 2 doubles a game max.

I'm currently using Zone hitting on default Legend and having a blast. It's super challenging yet rewarding and I can definitely feel the difference between top tier pitchers and everyone else. My numbers are well with in realistic expectations and I've had a blast going this route.

FYI this is my first year hitting on Legend.

I find hitting horrible this year. Typically play on all star with power +1 and legend pitching with cpu power +1. This year had to drop pitching to HOF. Hitting wise i’m still on all star messing with some sliders because there is no offense in this game. Lack of home runs, a ton of “weak” contact. the ball feels dead. Not to mention the pitch speeds seem incredibly fast compared to last year. Much like others mentioned fastballs seem to be incredibly fast, breaking balls have insane break….its really not fun. Veteran is too easy, all star is way too hard. Anyone got slider ideas? I’ve messed with contact +1, timing +1, power +1 etc….nothing seems to do much. The lack of home runs really kill me.
I bumped up timing one notch and it seems to make it much better. I was struggling to get any hits at all. The few hits I did get were singles that barely made it through the infield. Timing up one seems to have made it better. It feels like they made the timing window smaller across the board this year.

                            I'm still awful

Haven't put in a ton of time, hitting like .043 with Julio in DD, which, he's not exactly Aaron Judge in the first place

I can draw a walk occasionally. I can't say that about many versions.

Really don't like the new HR animation. Hit one off the 'Hit it Here Cafe' with Junior the other night. Would have preferred the behind home plate perspective.

Bumping timing up will get you more offense, but it's almost too much offense. So I don't know what the solution is. I had played 12 games into a franchise on all-star timing and was 2-10 with the Yankees. Didn't have a problem with home runs, but that's all I could hit. I couldn't string hits together to score any other way. I only had 3 players batting above .200 I don't want to go down to veteran but that's my next thing to try I guess. Hitting was nearly perfect the last few years, I don't know why they decided to mess with it.

AI pitching paints the corners much more as you go up in the levels i find. I'm playing HOF, but most days feel like i should be on all star bcos i'm scoring 1 run on 4 hits per game. on all star, there's too meany meatballs straight down the middle getting served up. and that led to every other hit being a dinger (felt like it, anyway).

overall tho, much more life to fastballs and off speed really goes down a notch making the swing timing so much harder this year.

some things to try. go up a level, but take a notch off fastball speed, and even add a notch to contact. that's where i'm at. i get all the smart AI pitching painting corners, but when they do make a mistake, i'm mostly there to meet them.

in my franchise lineup i only have one player anywhere near .300, and a bunch around the mendoza line.
