This is great news as I have very little interest in not using analog hitting and this was one of the biggest gamebreakers for me as things stood.

So I'm cautiously optimistic this has been fixed, but am looking to hear feedback from others who have logged more games.
Awesome! Can't wait to try for myself. Keep us updated!

I have been saying it since the game came out. I just think for those using analog (like myself) the pulling up on the stick and holding it briefly is causing the slide. It just seems to happen so much earlier on 25 and I think that's why it's happening. SOMETHING changed where the input to slide is happening so much earlier.

Great to hear, I really hope this issue has been fixed.

I've been using the same user settings for years and have never encountered this issue before now, so I can definitely say it is not a user issue (I wish it was!).

Sort of on the same issue (sliding), I've recently started to notice players sliding at weird times, not just the headfirst slide into first. Here is an example of a runner on first sliding into second on a single to center. Obviously, there is no reason for him to slide, as the ball isn't even touched before he reaches second.

Maybe I'm just being hyper sensitive because of the whole sliding into first issue, and maybe this type of slide has been in previous versions and I just never noticed, but it just seems like there have been some odd issues with players sliding for no apparent good reason.

I've played a couple more games and still no unnecessary slides into 1st. I feel pretty comfortable that this is now fixed!

Will test later tonight because this and the "Day Ohh" sound at Angel Stadium made the game unplayable at times. If this is true then it will make it much much more enjoyable
