IDK for people that like to play Bacon's rosters part of the appeal is to create your own stories. Getting to learn a whole new league and its stars is kind of cool imo and if it means also i get to experience it in a true current gen game ? ill take it. This is a great point, I love those fictional players but I still need to play it with my Mets. Can you create an entire fictional league in Pro Spirits, and maybe give them English names?

If they could port current gameplay and animations to a new graphics engine I'd be fine with it but I doubt it's that simple.

You think the in stadium sounds are the same (pitch hitting catchers mitt, crowd etc) ? You think the skies are the same ? Because I dont sorry

I think the stadium sounds both match the leagues that they represent. Japanese baseball has a way more fun crowd so there is more noise/chanting in PBS. I will say the skies do look better in PBS just because of clouds are better.

But the actual animations in PBS aren’t as smooth or realistic as The Show (outside of the pitching animations which all of which are more realistic in PBS because The Show have some legacy ones that were mo-capped and looked like they are in 75% speed).

Again though both are fun and overall I don’t think one is drastically better than the other. That’s all I was saying.

Its no secret to anyone who has played Pro Spirits its the better game and advanced beyond MLB the Show. That being said you have to use an app or translation on the side to understand what the heck you are reading lol. It would be nice if they made a version of it in English

That’s an opinion.

It looks better for sure. Whether it plays better or not is personal opinion.

Very true, Have you tried it? I would only play that game if not for I hate having to put my phone over a screen to know what the heck I am reading

I have and I do enjoy it for some things. I pretty much know what everything means at this point (purely from remembering what each selection does after translating), but the gameplay and animations are more crisp in MLBTS IMO. I enjoy playing it every now and then just because of the difference in culture of how baseball is played in Japan vs US and how it’s captured in the game (especially the visuals), but I prefer MLBTS overall. Can’t go wrong with either game though.

Yes, each game does certain things better. The player models rain etc. graphics look better in Pro Spirits but the graphics of player motion is better in The Show. Pro Spirits also allows a pitcher to have more then five pitch types. The Show has some additional features not present in Pro Spirits. For me though the language issue is still hard to deal with though I do try.

That is overall how I feel. Both games bring something great to the table

I've already given my opinion numerous times on how PYS and The Show look when compared to one another, so I won't repeat it in this thread. That being said, I'd like to play PYS just to see in person what all of the fuss is about. I do think learning leagues that I'm not familiar with, in other countries is fun. I don't have the patience to deal with the language barrier though.

Presentation and stadium atmosphere is really good. Gameplay looks stiff and robotic. IMO

There is also a PC version of the game. However all the videos on YouTube seem to be from the PS5 version. Apparently organizing a PC version over Steam is much more difficult outside of Asia.
