    Pitching strategy

I've been playing The Show for years. I don't remember when they implemented the catcher suggestions or if it's been around since the game inception. But at least recently, the last few years, I've always used it. I'm just curious how ya'll pitch against batters, like do you look at if their pull hitters or take real-life considerations in pitching them. Maybe you just wing it.
I guess maybe as I get older, the game is getting a little stale. I just wanna implement some personal changes to get me more involved and not just brain dead trying to get the perfect pitch on the meter going by the catchers suggestion.

I play a lot of Diamond Dynasty, online and offline. So I use Analog Pitching all the time, even in my offline franchise etc. I do make it a tad more difficult to use with my custom camera where I move where the Analog Meter is, I move it by my pitchers feet and make it as small as possible.

I end up using dynamic difficulty and get to Legend + and then move the slider down so it never changes. Then I pitch where and what my catcher calls to mix it up a bit for me. If it gets repetitive I will pitch to the location but change the pitch type.

After that I'll sim every other inning or so when playing defense to try and get the CPU offense going without my user input holding them back a bit.

Curious to see how Dynamic Difficulty goes vs the CPU on "GOAT +" this year.

I've been using this as well full time for several years now. Pinpoint Pitching on HOF.

I don't use the catcher suggestions and I don't want to see the batters hot/cold zones either. My strategy is to be as unpredictable as I can but I assume the AI is smart enough to pick up on my tendencies. Like when the batter/pitcher handedness favors the batter and my pitcher has a slider slurve or sweeper, I like to wear out that backdoor of the zone low and away. And even tho I have to believe the AI is aware of it, if I can stomach a few walks, its the best way to neutralize the batter advantage over my opposite handed pitcher. But other than that, I know unpredictable is the name of the game, hitting is timing and pitching is upsetting that timing. Another tendency I know I do have is when my pitcher has the handedness advantage and also has a four-seamer, I'm going to try to jam that batter high and tight, though again, I have to be able to stomach the walks and occasional hitting the batter. I know a lot of people love hitting in The Show but my absolute favorite part of the game is in being the pitcher and trying to have the superior cat-and-mouse strategy against the batter.

I dont use the hot/cold zones as I feel sometimes you HAVE to attack with pitches in their sweet spot. I also don't use the catcher suggestions, as I have found some really bone headed call outs in past years.

I never attack the lineup the same. The AI will catch on, especially on the higher difficulty. Im currently on All-Star+, and even on this level I have to be very mindful of what the first pitch was i threw to start at bats the previous inning. I think of it as the guys sharing what they saw with each other to form a strategy.
