It has always bugged me how Doubles and especially home runs drop the bar significantly. I wish we could make it so no matter what it raises or drops the same distance no matter the result. I get that a home run is worse than a single but a single home run is not the end of the world. It should be based on multiple hits and home runs stringed together, not one single home run making it drop half the bar.

It lets you choose your starting difficulty when you select it in the beginning. Might have to delete profile and load the game back up though.Comment

Another wishlist feature I would like to have is would be an option to not drop any level of difficulty once you reach it, but you can only advance to a harder level.T-BONE.

This! My hitting reached All Star but now went back to Veteran+. I'm thinking of just sticking it on All Star for the rest of the season.Comment

Re: 2026 Dynamic Difficulty Wishlist
I have always used this feature, I just wish it would take into account the ratings of the players. If I can't hit Zach Wheeler, it should be harder to bump down in difficulty to make it easier to hit him.
Likewise, if I crush the ball with Soto, it shouldn't make it easier to hit with my #9 hitter.
I guess I would like it to "reset" so to speak to a certain level depending on who's hitting/pitching and thresholds that are different based on those ratings.Comment

Re: 2026 Dynamic Difficulty Wishlist
For me it always seems like each year I start out lower than the previous year and then after a few month I would lock in back where I was the previous year. Which was HOF hitting with Legend+ pitching. I'm still on 24 and I am now regularly on Legend Hitting and Legend+ pitching. But a few weeks ago I thought I was maxed out on HOF hitting.
So I think give it time you'll be back up.Comment

Re: 2026 Dynamic Difficulty Wishlist
I’m honestly considering and started to last year of giving dynamic difficulty a shot. I’m so beyond sick of sliders and trying to find a balance or any type of randomness to this game. After 18 years of playing this game the last two have been nothing short of a disappointment for me. I want variety in my games and sliders no longer do it for me. I’m going to make a commitment to dynamic difficulty for 30 games. If I don’t enjoy it then I’ll be putting this game down after 20 years. Any input on why you guys enjoy using it or what I should expect would be really appreciated.Year 20 of playing MLB The Show!

Re: 2026 Dynamic Difficulty Wishlist
Dynamic difficulty is my favorite video game feature. I never have to mess with sliders. I start every year on Veteran with a few exhibit games and rank up.
