How do you tell if a player gets a rating drop at another position?

I have been playing Alex Gordon at 3B instead of LF, even though it's not his "alternative position" on his card, he has played 3B in his career before. But I heard players get a ratings drop if they are out of position... His overall didn't drop in the lineup. How do I tell?

I do not believe they get a ratings decrease. Does anyone know if there is a way to view a players specific stats when buying in the marketplace. For example can I see what pitches a pitcher throws before I waste my money on a starter who has no off speed pitches?

The only way is to go into card collection and find them in their team page unfortunately

Since I cannot start a new thread I have one more question. In a video on youtube someone said that I could use my create a player as a position player, then put him in to close a game. I tried to do this and he only had a change up and a fastball. Is there anyway to use all of his pitches? It doesnt seem worth it to leave him in the rotation and risk not being able to play him at a position if he is not selected. Any advice?

Did you give him other pitches when creating him?

Yes he has all of his pitches. So you are able to start him at a position and bring him in as a relief pitcher and he has his pitches and throws like a pitcher still?

No its a bug when he comes in from the field he only has a fast and change. If he starts in the pen he does have them all
