George Brett applies the slowest tags at first base...I can have the guy gunned by a mile and it takes him forever to sweep down

Re: How to defend against exploits in DD

Man this stuff really needs to be fixed. I am sick and tired of giving up 5 runs on 4 hits because they reach on an error or a dropped third strike and then its an automatic run. I can pick guys off sometimes, and occasionally throw them out. I am always slide stepping and throwing mid 90s fastballs... doesn't matter, steal second and third with anyone rated over 70 speed with 80+% success rate. Runner gets to third less than 2 outs? Its over, automatic run. Even on a strike out, they will somehow score. Runner on second and dropped third strike? Thats an automatic run too due to the animation lag. Just gave up 6 runs to a guy who had 4 hits all game long.

I started a thread with the simplest fix ever which was being able to see guys tendencies BEFORE you start a game, so that way you can just back out when you see a cheeser who steals 9 bases a game and bunts 10 times a game. That would be very basic fix that has been in sports games in the past. Obviously the bunting and base stealing needs to be fixed as well, but being able to see peoples tendencies would allow people to see cheesers in the future too once they find the next exploit.

How to defend against exploits in DD

New way to freeze post patch. I wont post the method here, but it is easy to do. Block mikebootyfoo now.
One, hes a terrible player and boring to play and two, he rage quits to try and force games to queue and now freezes in the 9th. Pretty embarrassing way to spend your time if you ask me.

Thank you for the alert, sir.

I agree, just an awful way to spend your time. It sucks when you actually beat them and then they pull the plug like that.

I think I'm done with this game online. It's just not fun. Between the bunting, base stealing and glitches its just bad

It works every time if you throw to first. Don't preload the throw. Run toward first a bit and if you see the runner doing the round animation like in the video (the person was hitting L1 and didn't pause for a second, that is just the animation when the runner is going straight at 2nd base like that) then you throw to 3rd. The risk is if they hit R1 fast enough it will end up being 1st and 2nd 1 out. In your case I probably would take the out at first since there was already an out.

It's just a technique you have to make sure you do every time in various situations. Hold the ball and make sure they are not exploiting the animations.

                - runner on third <2 outs and comebacker to mound
                - runner on 2nd <2 outs and ground out. I just run the 1st baseman at home a bit and they usually go back. If they don't relatively easy out.
                - runners on 1st and 3nd <2 outs, ball in dirt. If they see the throw animation start they often come home, with a fast runner this can be an easy run. Throw cancelling helps with this I found, but not always as the catcher fails to animate as fast as you want.
                - Sac bunts with runners on base. Even on third if they see the animation throw to first base start they will try to go home.

Another easy run is going 2nd to home on sac flys. Always throw to the cutoff and then home if it is a moderately deep fly ball. Even if you throw to third the ball rolls so slow and the fielders refuse to go get it resulting in easy runs. They just keep rounding third and by the time your 3rd baseman gets the ball it's too late.

These people are so bush league it's sad. Their Ted Williams goes 0 for 4 and but they score 2 runs in 2 singles. Such horse **** they steal 3rd like nothing, how do these developers sleep at night?

I feel like we need a "You are wasting your time if you'd found yourself in a game with this guy" thread

But I feel like this is the next best place to vent. Already posted this in the "putting created guy at catcher is pointless" thread

Squeeze bunt with the bases loaded and one out and Joey Votto up? I hate some people that play this game. Constant cheese all the time

Not sure if this is the place to post this?

I have to let folks know to avoid this player if possible, his/her Gamertag is Sportsgaming10 this player literally came up to bat and bunt then steal for 9 inning.

Just a friendly heads up to other sim ballers out there.

Don't play against the user pickens23 he's the biggest cheese glitcher out there... If you can do it he's using it against you, the pause glitch to slow it down is his favorite most frustrating player I've ever come across

I haven't played in a while. Is there a way to avoid people before you start?

The last play in that video definitely should not work in The Show anymore. In real life even if the runner did try to score, the first baseman would throw way more quickly than that.

I hate the people who pull a double steal with runners on the corners the most. How often does that happen in baseball? Come on.
