    Hidden gems?

Basically Diamond Dynasty players who are affordable for the casual player yet produced great results because:

+They have abnormally high stats in certain areas despite their low price
+They have a unique advantage (for example, O'Day's pitching delivery)

or such. So yeah, hidden gems in the game mode for you?

Steve Pearce and Trevor Plouffe are crushing for me. No idea why- probably just a fluke.

Mauer was absolutely atrocious for me. One of those contact hitters who thinks he has power and spends days at a time flying out to the gap. Hit like .250 and is HORRIBLE behind the plate (hey, he was removed from catcher duties to save his knees, not because he forgot how to block a dirt ball...). He actually cost me games behind the plate.

Brandon Belt has been clutch for me. I've hit two homers with him in about 4 games and one game he went 4-5 and single handily won me the game

I pinch hit Prince fielder and he is an absolute monster. Way better power than his numbers say, and swings like he has 90 contact.

Starling Marte has been incredible for me in the lead off spot. He's prob got 20 or so games played on my squad and is hitting .305 with 9 HR , and 18 RBI. Leading the team in those three categories. And of course he's a base stealing fool with that speed. Great player in this game.

Darin Ruf has been a beast so far. Really great power and has been solid in the field.

Yeah, he's a great budget player. He doesn't quite produce like that for me (because I suck at hitting) but he's the perfect #1 spot on a batting lineup. High contact and once he gets on base, he's an immense threat with that 99 speed.

He's hitting. 356 with 2 hrs and 18 rbis for me. I play him at C and do notice he has trouble blocking some balls but it only really hurt me once

Why not play him in the outfield and take advantage of good fielding and speed?

Marte has been great for me too. He gets on base and steals everything in sight. He has 30+ steals and hasn't been caught once. He also runs down a ton of potential hits in the outfield. I had him playing CF initially but moved him to LF in favour of Trout.

Because Mauer is slow and I have my OF set with Marte Cutch and my DD guy

My bad, I misread and thought you were playing Marte at C, which didn't make a whole lot of sense to me lol.
