People don't use it properly because the opponent shouldn't know when you're peeking down the 3B line. Using it as intended just immediately tells the opposition you're looking to bunt.

The people that stare at your pitcher are ****ing obnoxious though. Whenever they do that, I take the absolute max amount of time to pitch each time until they stop.

I fully agree you but with quick pitching as rampant as it is I'm actually considering using this to help slow things down.

I don't really see the problem with quick pitching honestly. It doesn't affect my ability to hit the ball. Not that I do it personally.

Pretty much. I also do this when people get behind and they pause for 4 and a half minutes. Sometimes even asking for a friendly quit after that. I just sit there and take as long as I can every pitch, make sure to use my practice swing every AB. I'll even very slowly look over to third and check the third baseman if they do it a lot and do the "I'm gonna wiggle the camera around, I totally trolled you." garbage. Good games to rack up your stats before you mercy rule them.

The dumbest thing about R3 is that your opponent CAN SEE YOU DO IT! What is the point??? Using it as intended actually hurts the person using it. I can't tell you how many times I've had people check and then I throw a ball high while they miss the bunt. I guess I should use R3 in those situations so they know for next time.

I may be wrong but I do feel that it has hampered my ability to hit at times.

The pitcher sends his pitch command and then control is shifted to the guy who is batting. If this process is too quick for the Ps4 to process I imagine there could be a subtle hint of lag that could throw the batter off a bit.

I've just not had any trouble hitting quick pitches. I'll try and see if I can tell a difference, but although it can be annoying and mess up someone's timing I'm not sure if it actually affects button inputs. It might, but I haven't noticed any issues yet.

I actually sort of prefer it since those who do this are usually not very accurate and throw a lot of fastballs, usually high or up and in. It is easy to guess against these guys and turn on 98mph heat up an in.
