Out of curiosity what are the logistics to using your DD player as a reliever. Does he experience fatigue or is he fully rested for every game like the rest of the bullpen. If this is the case I do not really think its too fair as you can just use your DD player every game to pitch...

DD Player as a Reliever
Just played a guy who had a 99 overall DD player come in to pitch after the first inning for the rest of the game. It was a pretty good plan since this guy was a respectable hitter and a dominant pitcher.

From my experience I believe that the created DD players gets a running out of energy after a pitch. -
Re: DD Player as a Reliever
Doesn't even matter though. Some guy pitched his dude 13 innings and 170 pitches on me, when he was out of energy at 50.Comment

Regardless of Stamina rating?
I was gonna try this out. I only play vs. the CPU so I figure it doesn't really matter. I'd love to be able to use my DD guy in the most useful way possible. If you put him at starter, you've got a slim chance of using him each game. As a pitcher, he can both be a dominant pitcher and batter (my guy is a 99 at every position). My biggest weakness right now is my rotation, my "ace" is Alex Cobb, so if I could throw my DD guy at long reliever and bring him in and get some innings out of him every game while still getting to use his bat that would be optimal.Comment

He's still useful there if you want to use him like that though. Could be a long reliever, middle reliever, closer, whatever. Could also just switch him to another position after he's done pitching to keep his bat.Comment

Regardless. Mine has 95 stamina and was out of energy around 45 pitches.

Yeah when I had him as a starter this is what I'd always do.
If he didn't get randomly chosen, I'd pinch hit him for the pitcher in the 1st inning (lol) and then pitch with him until he was tired, then move him to shortstop.Comment
