Re: Unstoppable pick off move glitch/exploit

I faced a lineup full of bunters 1-8. (dyson, eyjr, bonifosio, dee, hamilton, DD guy, leonis martin, marte) Im not gonna lie after seeing this post I pulled it out on him last night cause every body in the lineup was bunting and trying to steal so I felt the only way to combat that bull**** was to use this pickoff. If you are gonna try to cheese me all game 1-8 then Ill bring out that smoked gouda cheese myself. I probably would of just had to suffer thru that game not using this, so thank you for this post. You saved a TV and controller. Im not one to use cheese tactics but if youre gonna take advantage of the animations then I had to have the antivirus.

In some cases it is justified to give people a taste of their own medicine. For instance someone did this pickoff exploit to me a few days ago, so I just changed my hitting view to behind the pitcher and mercied them.

Although there is a difference between exploiting gameplay (bunts, steals, animations, etc) and exploiting glitches. I would only use this glitch in cases where it was used on me, but I have more fun just causing a mercy rule so the game ends faster.

I totally agree. If youre not bunting on me all game and not trying to cheese then I wouldnt even think about using this move. But I felt it was justified but it wasnt fun. But he eventually quit after I got up 5-0 and he realized I wasnt letting his garbage beat me. Its sad when you have to go to bunt defense every batter that comes up. Thats taking the fun out of the game and learn how to play baseball not foosball.

What advantage does hitting from behind the pitcher give them? They can see where the catcher sets up? And how can you tell where they're hitting from?

You can tell whats coming by the way his fingers are positioned. Not a huge advantage cause some pitchers can hide it and when you play online its not as blatant like it is offline.

I've noticed my pitching view is different sometimes. Do you know if this is what the cause is?

Don't get me started on behind the pitcher. If you know how to use it it is a HUGE advantage. A few people have been messing with it/testing and have shown it is a very big advantage. For instance in CoTW I scored over 12 mil in m 2nd try using the view when in my first try i only got 4 mil using the normal view.

I wouldn't save it for specific situations where my opponent was acting like an a-hole if it wasn't considered an exploit.

There are a few pitchers that hide the ball well, but only in the stretch. And even then you can just switch to the catcher view and hit. The vast majority of pitchers give their pitches away. Not only that but also the location.
