Does anyone else feel this mode is flawed ?

Am I the only one that feels this is an unfinished product ? Granted this is my first year playing the DD mode but I have played The Show since the beginning. I have played the mode now on every level from beginner to legend and it is just as difficult on beginner as legend. So many broken bats and popups its crazy, the fielding is horrid my outfielders regularly miss fly balls and the base running is hard to get the handle on.

I need tips badly, I have spent so much time and money on player cards I would really like to make use of them because I can no longer sell them Help please

Fly ball issues are new this year and not limited to DD. They changed how players attach and animate at the catch indicator. The best advice I can give is to try to be a bit more casual going after routine fly balls and try to trigger the jogging catch animations. If you try and camp under a fly ball your player often whiffs or it bounces off them. It's a big issue with the game. You can also hit L2 (I think) to switch fielders and have the AI move the original outfielder for you. This works in some cases.

Have been playing The Show since 2006 and had no idea of this until now. You just saved my life!

I began using that with great success a few years ago. Now it is just natural to switch to my OF'er with the better throwing arm (or the faster guy if we can catch it in the air)

You have to be careful though using this in the OF. I've had times where I switch to another outfielder, the CPU outfielder gets to the spot fine, but suddenly the outfielder I am controlling runs in with out my control and traps the ball. I've had it done twice now. Not sure if it is a glitch or something the devs put in to prevent people from just letting the CPU field for you. They did turn of autofielding for online, but the fielding issues this year make it so you need some autofielding. For routine flyballs that are caught the vast, vast majority of the time in the MLB I would rather the game just autocaught them.

I sprang for a couple nice players today so that along with the advice I got better at fielding and figured out the base running a bit but the hitting is still so frustrating , Fastballs down the middle with a good swing almost always leads to a broken bat popup ! Now I only guess fastball down which helps a tad almost ready to take on the internet lol

              I love autofielding.

I wish they had it for extra innings and vs. CPU DD games.
