Have you guys tried them out yet? I think Archer could be pretty useful in DD now.

they're both still terrible, i'm about to sell both of them. 58 control for Archer, 55 for Gray. every silver pitcher I had in my rotation before them was better. it's really pissing me off. they give up so many stupid HRs and doubles putting stuff right over the middle of the plate for absolutely no reason.

I haven't watched the video, but I started Gray twice today for the first time, and in done with him. I cannot control his pitches nearly as well as other pitchers and it hurts me. I hang pitches over the middle of the plate far too often and I give up easy hits.

Never had Gray but Archers windup is so slow its hard to get it pegged really well so I was always giving up runs . I sold him a while back and bought Grienke, much easier to use than Archer

Slow windup don't bug me although I don't think archers is slow at all. I've had both and archer has by far out performed gray.

Grays low clutch combined with the low K/9 means that hitters can stay up to bat longer by fouling off pitchers. And eventually, that control will bite you in the butt and you'll give up shots. Do not get gray. Archer is a stud

Also they inflated Gray's overall with a high hr/9, which does nothing on the field.

I've been using Archer in my rotation since he was an 84 rated pitcher. Probably because I'm a biased Rays fan. Personally I have no issues using him against actual people. I struggle with him more against the computer because I only play DD on legend in Extra Innings and they tend to smoke his 2 seam fastball. If I do a good job of spotting his change up and stick with the slider and 4 seam fastball I can keep them to a couple runs. If you know how he pitches in real life and can execute it, he can dominate in the game as well. He relies a lot on the hard slider to get people out, so pitching with pure analog and spotting a hard slider away or down can strike people out all day. Even mixing in a backdoor one every now and then helps keep people off balance. Hope some of that helps.

I like gray. I find his control to be pretty decent actually. But like another poster said, the low k9 is a real issue. People foul off you all day. I'm actually about to sell him idk I don't see them giving him another upgrade.

I typically struggle against Archer and tattoo Gray.

I'm pretty avg with archer. My problem with him seems to be that his control is very low and his off-speed pitches don't have much movement so if im missing with him he gets hit pretty hard.
