Re: stubs glitch
Re: stubs glitch
Supposedly there still is or was a glitch on PS3 which generated millions of stubs for some gamers. Not sure if it's related but around the same time either the same gamers or another group started selling stubs for cash. They transfer the stubs to the buyers via marketplace orders.
I'm not sure if this would even help but a possible counter to this might be to have the SCEA server post sell orders when there's no activity on a particular card. This way, one can't post a "common" card for 100K as the best price available as easily.
Maybe they can also limit the amount you can sell for certain tiers.Comment

That's what I think happened also. Could have been that a patch or update would have taken too long or been too late to stop the stub sellers from cashing in, so SDS took every player that could be cleared easily and put up massive roadblocks in the form of millions of stubs to prevent or at least slow these guys down.Supposedly there still is or was a glitch on PS3 which generated millions of stubs for some gamers. That would explain why it happened to the phantoms (people don't know they have any since they don't show up in your collection, so fewer will be listed) and cards that have been added to the game since release (same idea, fewer cards out there, fewer listed, easy to clear for cheap).
After the mystery buyer dropped millions of stubs with me, I figured it had to be SDS since even with a glitch, normal people wouldn't have done that.Comment

Like everyone interacts in the same Marketplace, so I could understand this. That's what I think happened also. Re: stubs glitch
Nope, nothing major in the last week. Just some mini clears up to 20k or so. Now I'm waiting for the stub sellers/SDS/crazy rich person to move onto equipment. It's an untapped resource with many items only 1-5 cards away from clearing. If it ever starts up again, I see it going there.Comment

Re: stubs glitch
It's pretty random. A crazy night a few weeks back and tonight have been my most profitable. The key is to catch the guy when he's clearing a player (buying all available). I've had multiple 499,999 stub sell orders filled this way.Comment
