So I played a few offline games on broadcast mode

I have to say, the game looks very very good in that respect. I was share playing with my friend the other day and he saw a bunch of things that actually would occur in an mlb game (fans waving at the camera holding up signs, reaching over the fence to grab ground balls, seeing the hotdog man walking up and down isles). Needless to say, he was pretty amazed how the games aesthetics were, and impressed with the gameplay. It runs much smoother offline (of course) and I also noticed more animations over the course of a couple games. More specifically, a huge thing that caught my eye were the types of slides baserunners were using to avoid tags. For example, when I was stealing with Alex Avila, I saw a hook slide. Now I've never seen this in any online match, but offline it's simple to do. Also there were more slides into home plate which I've not seen online. Instead of just the plain old feet first slide into home which I know most of us have seen already, the baserunners actually attempted to avoid the tag by sliding head first with his body on the right side of the plate, leaving only his arm for the Catcher to tag. I'm wondering why we don't see this in online matches? Especially the ones into home plate. Online matches seem pretty bland and redundant. Any one know Why these features aren't seen in online matches?

Online is on the "fast play" setting. It eliminates most of the cutscenes and animations to speed up the gameplay. I agree that the game is much more immersive on the Broadcast setting that you can choose offline.

But online games take way too long. Even with fast play on, online games still take 50 minutes. I always whine about how they need to cut this time in half. I love this game but it takes way too long to play one game.

I think the skipping of cutscenes are fine, but the animations however should not be excluded from online. I think they should make DD and online games an option to be 7 innings
