Cards required for Collections why some

Why are cards like Machado 92 and Jones 89, Donaldson 93 and all 3 other golds, Abreau 89, Kluber 92 and Kipnis 89 or Brantley 87, Stanton 94 Fernandez 92 and Gordon 89,Gomez 89, Wainwright 93,Tulo 93 and Arenado 89, Posey 93 and Bumgarner 92, not needed to complete the team collections but cards like 93 Harvey, 95 McCutchen, every single A's, royal, ranger, astro ,red sox ,cub ,phillie ,red ,Yankee ,94 Kimbrel , are needed to complete their teams collections? I cant see a requirement rating that determines it cause some teams need the diamond players others dont need them or even some golds. Basically when is a card not needed for the collection? What determines that? I thought it was when the player got to a 93 diamond but if that were the case Harvey,McCutchen,Kimbrel, would not be needed for their collections but they are. Anyone know?

In order to complete a collection, the only cards that need to be obtained are the one's that have a lower overall than the legend. For example, Steve Finley of the Diamondbacks is only an 85 overall, so you don't need Goldschmidt or Pollock to unlock him. On the contrary, Ralph Kiner of the Pirates is 98 overall and McCutchen is a 96, so you need McCutchen to unlock Kiner.

Thanks that helps a lot. So if a player gets raised to higher than the Legend is rated on that team they are no longer needed for the collection.

correct and likewise if they are lowered below him then they are required.

Which is the best collection to finish first? I just started playing yesterday. I have most of the Rays collection minus Archer and McGee. And now I am working on COL. Which should I focus on finishing?

Arizona and Colorado are cheap to complete.

Thanks and yea AZ did look cheap but Finley isn't that good looking. I already have Adam Jones in CF. And Mookie Betts coming off the bench. So I am set in CF for now.

Finley is actually really good, better than a 85. Plus you can not ignore the 5% boost in stubs and earnings from just doing any collection. It adds up even if you dont use the player

Yea that makes sense. Also, I finished the Rockies collection, and I am pissed I can't sell Bichette. I added him to my lineup and I realized now I only have 1 lefty in my lineup. So I was going to sell Bichette and go back to using Reddick who was actually producing. And do you need Ramon Santiago to finish the Jays collection? He is the only thing stopping me from doing that collection. I already have Encarnacion who I bought yesterday for 840 stubs. And right now he is being sold for around 900 stubs. Everyone else I need is between 15 and 385 stubs so I can easily get the collection done tomorrow in around an hour. But Santiago is being sold for 3500 for some reason.

Do you need Bumgardner or not? He is the same rating as Clark (92). Because if I do it's not really that cheap. He is going for 9945 and Pence is 6500.

I posted this in another thread.

                          <table border="0" cellSpacing="0" cellPadding="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td style='width: 100%; height: 14px; background-image: url("/forums/images/quotes/02.gif");' width="100%"></td><td width="18"></td></tr></tbody></table>Best way w/o spending any real money.

                          start here: http://www.daddyleagues.com/dd/collections

This shows you the minimum need to finish collections

next write down on a sheet of paper the total stubs needed easiest to hardest (1-30) to complete collections.

next do a 99 triple play challenge (TPC) over and over again. Do all 99 opportunities, it takes 20 or so minutes to do. Make sure your getting 30-35k xp at the end. it should kick out 10 cards and 1-2k in stubs. More collections completed mean more stubs.

Pluck off collections easist to hardest. you get boosters for every collection you complete.

Most important, DO NOT CARD CHASE!! Stick to the plan
I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....

The Giants were the first collection I completed, and Will Clark has been extremely good for me. Although, it's all personal preference, as I have seen many messages that say they can't hit well with him.
