Dont sleep on my boi finley, got a surprising .704 slugging with him, hes my lowest rated guy and not a lot of people use him so everyone throws at that high away cold zone thats fat and welcomes that fastball to lace oppoComment

My Michael Brantley is hitting over .425 in about 20 games, smallish sample size though.Comment

Re: Do you have a player that just performs a over everyone else?
It's the Dee Gordon, Billy Burns types that give me fits. Guys who are just trying to go with the pitch, while sacrificing power. Rod Carew is the extremely rich man's version of this. He is a nightmare to pitch to.
Salvador Perez has a better slash line but in less at-bats (platoon with Yasmani Grandal).
Something about Car-Go's stance is so comfortable. He is like a panther about to strike. Especially in contrast with a guy like Trout (my highest rated player) whose stance feels vulnerable and upright.Comment

Kevin Kiermaier 79Ovr. He has only played 2 games for me he has already slugged 2 game winning home runs for me and he plays excellent defense. People underestimate him at the plate, but he has contact and power ratings in the 60's against righties so he can certainly do some damage when he gets a meatball.Comment

Joe Panik 84Ovr is another hidden gem I found. He is leading off for my team and he is a very balanced hitter (contact ratings right around 90) who can hit lefties and righties equally well. 250 stubs very well spent!Comment

MLB Network had Panik ranked as I think #2 or #3 best 2B in the game right now. It was in their show hosted by Brian Kenney where they talk about the 10 best at each position. Thought it was interesting based on who all is out there and he's only been on the scene for a couple of years.

Re: Do you have a player that just performs a over everyone else?
Before I got legend Carew, I used Altuve. Alot of people don't like him in Diamond Dynasty but he was a monster for me. I'm godawful at hitting and I had around a .330 batting average with him after 50ish online games.
And obviously Starling Marte but everyone knows he's the best budget player in Diamond Dynasty.Comment

Re: Do you have a player that just performs a over everyone else?
Cliff Floyd and Rod Carew are probably my most consistent hitters. I'm terrible at batting and refuse to cheese bunt, so these guys are best for me with about .290 average. Harper, Williams, Schmidt, Trout, etc bat below .250 even though they have better stats. It might just be the batting stance, and the fact that I can't hit righty vs. righty to save my life!Comment

Re: Do you have a player that just performs a over everyone else?
Last year no matter who I put in at catcher I could not hit with them. I also had troubles with Harper and a few other big names. Some of my silver guys way outperformed the diamond players. Since I use zone swings I found that hitters with lower contact were better for me. The way the contact bubble works on the higher players you can hit crummy grounders and popups on pitches you would normally miss with hitters with low contact and the sweet spots are about the same. I'd rather hit foul tips and keep slugging away then weak outs.Comment

I got the flashback Jose Altuve as my rookie preorder bonus, and I haven't been able to do much with him.
Casey McGehee is currently my best option at 3B, and he's crushing it. He's hitting around .585 over 15 or so games.Comment
