Is it likely that each of the legends will have some sort of flashback card? Reason I ask is because I then wonder if the "base" legend card is going to be that players best card or are their flashbacks going to top their base? I just found out that Jim Edmonds is going to be in this year and as a Cards fan, this makes me beyond excited. If you told me that legend cards would likely be getting flashbacks as well, that makes me even more excited. Especially if they made an 04 Edmonds flashback card. Being able to hit Rookie/Prime Pujols 3 and 04 Edmonds 4 would make my day. Now, being able to acquire these two is likely going to be quite that challenge but I'll do anything in my power to do so.

Nobody knows at this point, but I'm really hoping they keep adding additional versions of cards as the year goes on. I appreciate them having more cards to use but it will kinda suck if they release them all at once. Part of ultimate teams fun is new cards being added throughout the year.Comment

I agree to a certain extent. In other UTs they release new cards throughout the year but they're mainly just upgrades to current players. That will still happen throughout the year with DD. All current players base cards will still be updated weekly like last year but with the legend cards and flashbacks, those are probably all going to be dumped into the game at once as Nick's said a lot of them are only earnable and unsellable. I like this a lot because it promotes actually playing the game instead of spending money and buying your team. This will make players like Prime Arod a hot commodity and likely a very tough task to get as you can only get him from Battle Royale as a final prize (if I'm not mistaken). With them doing this, you're progression and success in the mode is 100% user dependent on skill and time. I understand to some this may be discouraging as some dont have the ability and or time to win 20 games online but I think this rewards the players who do. There's obviously still great options for those who dont want to take the time and would rather spend money to fill out their lineup but they just wont be able to get some of the best cards and I think this is fair.
As for legend flashbacks and their being one for every legend, I think the odds are high as it doesn't promote spending money, buying a whole teams collection and getting the final reward of that teams legend. Now yes, you'll have that teams legend but do you have the best version? Probably not. I think it would be amazing to see a Prime Konerko, Edmonds etc and not just the one version.Comment
