Re: What's you starting lineup and why ?

      Lineup
      1. 93 Ichiro CF - 98 rated if you move him to center
      2. 95 Gwynn RF
      3. 90 Bogaerts SS - Only hitting third so he can split up the lefties near the top
      4. 96 Fielder 1B
      5. 98 Beltre 3B
      6. 90 Edmonds LF - 97 rated if you move him to left
      7. 89 Sandoval C - 90 rated catcher despite mediocre arm. Hitting stats are second at C only to Prime Mauer.
      8. 91 Cano 2B
      9. Pitcher

      Rotation
      1. Sale
      2. Syndergaard
      3. Strasburg
      4. deGrom - Absolutely sick 2 seamer with good secondary pitches
      5. Price - Gonna need to replace him eventually. Lack of slider makes him underwhelming.

      Bullpen
MR Holland - Best splitter/slider combo in the game. Maybe even better than FB Papelbon
      MR Chapman
      MR Miller
      MR Jansen
      SU Betances
      SU 93 Wagner
CL 95 Papelbon - I've torched him before and I've seen others hit him as well, but if you mix in that splitter correctly, he's really hard to hit.

      Bench
OF/3B 95 Bautista - Good to platoon vs. lefties with Edmonds/Gwynn.
OF 94 Holliday - Defense is too crappy to start. Good pinch hitter or platoon with Edmonds.
IF/OF 94 Zobrist - Platoons vs. lefties at 2B for me. Sneaky power vs. lefties.
OF 90 Crawford - Great defensive replacement/pinch runner. Has ability to be an awesome pinch hitter as well.
C 89 Pierzynski - Not as good of a hitter as I had hoped, but you can't argue against 75/90 contact and power vs. R.

Re: What's you starting lineup and why ?

        1. CF Prime Ichiro
        2. LF Trout
        3. C Country Boy Cowboy
        4. RF Harper
        5. 1B Prime Fielder
        6. 2B Cano
        7. 3B Machado
        8. SS FB Banks

Staff : Kershaw, Arrieta, Fernandez, Syndergaard, Top IE Guy

Bullpen : IE Guys + Prime Papelbon and Wagner

Bench : Berra, Marlins Floyd, Sandberg, Prime Beltre, Whoever I want

I have players higher than Cliff Floyd but there's no other player who I'd rather go to war with when I need a clutch hit or a rally sparker.

Re: What's you starting lineup and why ?

Currently I am playing as a full Squad under the Altuve Store,

          VS Righty
          LF Yelich
          2B Betts
          1B Freeman
          SS Machado
          3B Bryant
          RF Heyward
          CF Kiermaier
          C Perez
          P

          VS Lefty
          RF Springer
          2B Betts
          1B Piscotty
          SS Machado
          LF Bryant
          3B Tomas
          CF Kiermaier
          C Perez

          Rotation
          Cole, Gray, Nola, Salazar, Odorizzi

The way my line up is set up now. I view Betts, Machado and Kiermaier an as irreplaceable. Machado is all around great, Mookie for his offense and Kevin for his amazing D ( I tend to hit great with him also).

Everything else i try to load up on as many left handed or right handed bats depending on the pitcher. I don't worry about guys with to much power, more so look to string together extra base hits. I am not a base stealer, so with this line up most guys have the pop to hit gaps, and run, but nothing crazy. Works well for the way I like to enjoy the game.

I also Keep Correa and Lindor on the bench, if I need to pinch run or hit, those guys can come into SS, I move Machado to 3bag, and can start working guys into new positions to keep everyone in a position or secondary.

            1B FB Adam LaRoche (85)
            CF Lorenzo Cain (88)
            LF Starling Marte (88)

            Rotation
            Stephen Strasburg (93)
            Bert Blyleven (94)
            Aaron Nola (86)

            Wil Harris (83)
            Andrew Miller (88)
            FB Chris Sale (82)
            David Robertson (86)

My upgrade targets are First Base and the back end of my rotation. The low end guys in my bullpen have been great for me, so I can wait on them. I'm currently working on the Rangers Conquest mission for Prime Kinsler so I can sell the cheater known as Dee Gordon.

I didn't use the glitch. I had a lot of MT points from 2k that i sold as well as some bday money and i put in money for stubs. I have also flipped for over 1 mill stubs. I am way better at playing the market than i am at the game lol

So everyone talks about moving players to new positions and it increases their overall. Does that actually increase their attributes or only the overall? Like in madden if u move a guy their overall goes up but it's just showing you they're better suited to play there. The attributes themselves don't go up only the overall.

Their attributes don't go up. In the rosters if you switch Cespedes to a LF without changing any attributes he becomes a 95

Certain players attributes have more "weight" to them at certain positions. Like given above. Cespedes has a ton of power, and good fielding, which are attributes usually associated to CF, where speed and Contact is "Weighted" more. So by playing him in LF or RF, which are more of a power position, he is weighted higher. To the naked eye he still looks like a 89 overall CF.
If you were to go offline, and upload the newest roster update, then go to edit players, edit Cespedes from a CF to a LF, and his overall changes from an 89 or a 95 without even touching a single attribute. All you have to worry about is his 5% decrease in Defense and possibly reaction, which is nothing for him.

Same thing with Trevor Story, he is a SS with a secondary position of 2B. He has below average arm and fielding ability, and not a lot of speed, that doesn't rate well as a SS, but if you edit him offline onto 2B, he jumps from an 79 to a 85. Just because his power numbers are much more valuable at second base then at SS. The cards attributes don't change, they just are more valuable at other positions sometimes then their primary.

So if the overall is meaningless in regards to position change. Why bother posting it? Unless the point is just to let everyone know where the players are better suited to play?

well the attributes don't change, so in that sense it's meaningless, but if you have a cano at 2B, and spend 30K stubs on him, apposed to finding someone like Story or Mookie to play 2B for cheaper. They are a hidden Gem who can do or play the same way, for way cheaper.

edit:also, missed the part about Madden, the Overall doesn't change online either, just offline, so in a sense the player still looks like a 89 overall when they suit that position as a 95.
