I have 24,000 stubs. Help me maximize them.

So I'm completely new to DD. Normally in the past I would only do RTTS. This year I tried out DD and got hooked instantly. How do I go about maximizing my stubs and gaining the best roster possible? Do I just purchase standard card packs?

One option, if you aren't looking for immediate results, is to buy low on some player cards for guys that are expected to take a bump this year. (personally know you can get S. Piscotty(STL) and M Franco(PHI) pretty cheap) If you buy low now in a couple months you should be able to flip them big later.

Actually just bought Piscotty before you posted for a cool 220 stubs. I'll hold onto him.

I see what people mean now by flipping. Guess I'll sit on these for now and survey each day to see if I can potentially gamble and make a big profit.

How are people getting diamond cards? They're so damn expensive.

A lot of people have gotten lucky and pulled Diamonds in packs, others are just very good a flipping cards and playing the market.

Don't buy standard packs. They aren't worth it. I'd say just flesh out your lineup right now. Good cheap buys right now imo would be Denard Span, Carrasco, Tyson Ross, The 25 player white sox collection for Reliever Chris Sale, Carlos Rodon (Investment), Joe Ross (investment), Jose Iglesias, Ben Zobrist, Red Sox 25 player collection for Saltamamacchia.

I bought one Opening Day pack and pulled a Felix Hernandez diamond.
I then sold it and bought one 10-pack standard and pulled 3 golds (CarGo, Chris Davis and Nelson Cruz).

I've already fleshed my lineup out quite nicely, currently sitting at a 82 rating.

Sounds solid. I would recommend selling Davis and going for a Platoon at first and picking up a Gold in center or third base. All you need for first base is a productive bat and you can get that relatively cheap if you go with a platoon like Adam Lind/Darin Ruf.

Some 1Bs I have are Hanley Ramirez, Darin Ruf and flashback Anthony Rizzo. Davis is only selling for 8500, is that a decent sell price? I already sold Nelson Cruz but I kept CarGo.

Ultimately I'm aiming for Andrew McCutchen. My current CF is Jarrod Dyson and my current 3B is Jung-Ho Kang.

Don't do sell nows or buy nows, just place buy or sell orders. Try to undercut the people selling. I would put him up for about 10150. Trust me he will sell in about 10 minutes.

Do you have a good second baseman? You can get Adam Jones in center and then have some stubs left over for ian kinsler at second.

My 2B right now is Rougned Odor (TEX). He's playing fairly well for me. I was looking at Adam Jones though. Might snag him up after I get rid of Chris Davis.

                    Thanks for the advice.

EDIT: I really want Starling Marte but his price keeps going up, up, up.

Left Fielders are really expensive because it's a relatively shallow position. Marte being fast doesn't help either lol

Looked at a lot of the young Cubs too like Soler, Schwarber, etc. and seems like everyone else is too. lol

Gonna be hell of a time to keep up with you guys in the division.
