This is probably a really dumb question but who are the Yetis that you all speak of and how do you play them?

Re: Post game loot drops
There's not really a "fix" available. They could remove the Extra Innings game feature, or they could turn off all game rewards/gains, but you could use the same setup in Play a Friend mode.
Playing the Yetis on Legend is an optimization of the grinding process. You could, alternately, turn the difficulty down to Rookie and have the CPU play MLB teams for quick mission grinding, and just buy the cards you want with real money. Playing on Legend only raises the chance of a Gold card to 11.8% so it is still suuuuuuper inefficient for collection purposes. It's hard to see this as a significant competitor to existing P2W mechanics, given how woefully inadequate it is in comparison to outright purchasing a team of superstars.
There are definitely exploits in the game. Animation exploits and bunting cheese are the ones that come to mind; these are non-baseball plays in what was clearly designed to be a simulation of baseball. However, SSD clearly intended for people to create their own teams; SSD clearly intended for people to play against those teams; SSD clearly intended for people to have better reward probabilities against higher difficulties. None of that is "exploitive", nor is combining them. This is a pretty good demonstration of the distinction between "exploit" and "clever use of game mechanics".Comment

First "Yeti" game, one silver then the bonus card of another silver...only won 4-1. That ball is humming in there at legend...Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
I have to say, these yetis have been a nice find! I cannot say my rewards have been anything remarkable (maybe a couple gold pieces of equipment), BUT it makes me actually play the game rather than a bunt-fest.
I have been grinding out the Reds, and they are terrible, so the games have actually been somewhat competitive! 1150 innings is a lot, but this has made them fly by. Thanks for the tip!Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
I hate you. I've played Yeti like 8 times now and have never even seen a gold card on the screen. What was the game like? Did you hit a lot of home runs? Strike them out a lot? I'm wondering if maybe how you scored your runs affect the rewards. I rack up a lot of stolen bases and I'm not getting anything good so maybe the game does not reward stealing. I'm just spitballing here I have no ideaComment

Re: Post game loot drops
Played four yeti games:
Game 1:
1 Silver (Gregory Polanco)
1 Bronze
1 Common
Game 2:
1 Silver (Rasiel Iglesias)
1 Common
Game 3:
1 Bronze
1 Gold Sponsorship
Game 4:
1 Silver (Mark Trumbo)
1 Bronze
1 Common
I've seen a couple golds on the screen, but none of them made it past the first few cuts.Last edited by Moss44; 05-30-2016, 06:21 PM.PSN: Moss394463Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
Played the Yetis and won 24-20 (I let them score a bunch late because I'm trying to get the Runs Allowed V hidden mission completed) and my post game reward was Trout. I had 50+ stolen bases and all I did was bunt. Never really had much luck with post game drops before this.

Re: Post game loot drops
I have a question I haven't been able to find an answer to yet: I realize the rewards are random, but why do you sometimes get multiple rewards? I keep looking for constants, like gaining levels etc, that might correlate. Is there just a chance of random bonus drops?Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
