Re: Post game loot drops
Is it me or the Yeti's playing a little better after this last patch, it's only been two games so maybe I'm a little off but I'm not plowing them the last 18 innings...Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
Just you, I went through stretches like that. I think it was because you dont really try too much, at least thats what I felt. Ive only played them once each day the last few days and have beaten them pretty handily.Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
Yetis = a Diamond Dysnasty team where every player is a catcher. As you can imagine, this team is slow, horrible on defense and relatively easy to beat even on Legend. Which is EXACTLY the point - if you want to grind innings for missions rather than play a friend ONLINE you can play this team OFFLINE. Because this team is so lacking - you can play on Legend difficulty and as such increase your chances of Gold/Diamond post loot game drops.
If you do a search there is a post that will explain how to find this team to play. Hope this helps.Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
I was thinking the same thing. I chose to play them on Rookie to burn through some stats missions and I gave up 4 runs in the 1st with deGrom pitching. I was taking it easy, but still, they're hitting doubles to the gap and down the foul line. In another game, on Legend, their OFs were making diving catches and I gave up a HR to the pitcher.Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
When I started playing against the Yetis, the infielders would be staggered by every ball hit to them, and that doesn't happen anymore. Outfielders dropped 2 out of 3 fly balls, and now they drop one every couple of games. For a while, I was able to consistently get on base by deliberately striking out; the catcher would drop every strike 3 and throw the ball to right field every time. In the last two weeks, I've reached once or twice on a strikeout.
The third baseman still pulls up after fielding a bunt. The "catcher" behind the plate still can't throw runners out. But, as I mentioned earlier, I'm not bunt cheesing (though I am stealing every base I can see!) My game has improved by playing this way, and thank goodness, as the Yetis have gone from double-digit errors per game, to making fewer errors than my team does (as yes, there is definitely some rubber-banding at play!)
Maybe my early experiences were weird outliers, and I was the only one scoring runs off of poor Yetis defence. Maybe my current experience is the outlier, and they will go back to 10+ errors/game. But I tell you - I am watching for that stagger animation and I just can't make them do it. I'm scoring runs by hitting against the shift or into the alley, where I used to score by hitting the ball to the defenders and watching them turn into stooges.Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
I can't run up the score on Yetis anymore either. I can still steal against them but no more winning 20-1. I have actually lost against them twice in the last week despite having a better team than before. They are playing much better now but I can still win pretty much every time even though some of the games are closer.Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
How good the Yeti's are is entirely down to which pitcher they get. Some are embarrassing, some can be surprisingly hard to get at. All their relievers are useless though, so if you are struggling then you can easily turn it around in the latter innings when they bring them on.
If you're really under pressure then none of their relievers can field a bunt hit to save their life, even guys with speed 30 will beat them to first base if the first baseman has to field the ball. It's cheap, but you're not playing a 45 minute game against a bunch of catchers to not get a reward for winningComment

Re: Post game loot drops
Can't believe it. For the first time since the first week a diamond popped up. It was Sportsmans Park. It was the first to go...damn shame. So I skipped it and got some scrub clicked X and I'll be damned. Giancarlo Stanton standing there in all his glory. I promptly went and sold him for 36k as I'm 95% he's going to drop from diamond to gold. That's my 3rd diamond through post game loot and first player. I'm stoked.Comment

Re: Post game loot drops
Theres no doubt in my mind its fixed. Any silver or bronze you get is always a player, but it just happens that any gold you get is always equipment or ritual. its b.s. That 11.8% chance at a Gold is more like 11% chance at a gold equipment, .8% chance at a gold player.Last edited by mikeq672; 06-17-2016, 03:42 PM.Comment
