I spend all my time watching the "busy" icon. Will it get better?

I don't know where to post this, or how to reach out. I don't want to get banned. But literally in the last 2 hours I have spent 1 hour and 50 minutes watching the busy icon swirl, while I try to move between menus, start a game, buy a player card. It is crazy how bad this is. Will it get better? Was it this bad last year too? I am really unhappy with how badly this game is running.

I never experienced this last year. But you're not alone with being frustrated.

This has been going on a lot it means the servers are being hammered lots of people on at a time.

Being in the IT field, I can say it's not hard to up a servers bandwidth. This shouldn't be an issue a week after release.

Yep, it seems like they basically made it so just about everything you do performs a sync session with their server, but didn't account for server capacity or load balancing when they did it. My guess is they will wait for the annual drop off of players instead of increasing the possible loads.

I'll just be nice and say they've never been known for their stellar netcode.

Besides the fact that there's an incredible demand on their servers, for the online gaming alone, they are running an incredible amount of data up and down the pipeline, which can't be good for connection stability.
Data like keeping track of all your past orders on the market is nice, but we can probably do without, that's just one example.

I'll take my yearly stance and simply wait it out, as will they, as someone above suggested.

So instead of fixing the problem they're going to force people to quit, stop playing out of frustration, or boredom instead of adjusting for capacity? That is cheap and really - kind of despicable business ethics.

In another instance of frustration - I just had a hard fought game I won go through... I am really excited to see what cards I won, and instead of getting cards I get "an error occurred" instead. I recorded it and uploaded it to YouTube. how/where do I report this so I can get my cards? I know it may seem silly to be angry over two cards lost, but I am sick in RL a lot, so for the time I can spend playing I want to have those rewards as they're far and fe between. I can't put the time into my game like other people so I don't think it's too much to ask it actually works and if it doesn't Sony San Diego can fix it for me. So what/how would be best way to contact them in a way they would actuslly do something about this?

I gave up earlier after losing connection after a Conquest game.

Servers are bonkers right now, don't know but where working on stabilization. There will also be a round of server maintenance at 3am pst.

Seems they are a victim of their own success. It is also likely they completely underestimated the server traffic when practically everything you do has to communicate to the server.

I agree. This year it is a chore to start a game up after everyone is home from work or school. I just want to be able to play a quick offline game and it takes forever to get past the initial rewards screen. I haven't tried playing any sort of online mode as I get tired of waiting for the game to load.

I'm optimistic and certain that it will get better as time goes on.

Couldnt they eliminate some server stress by turning off the online access at shownationcom. until they can sustain the loads Im not a server guy but it should help a bit at least for now...

Hopefully the server maintenance helps outs tomorrow morning. Maybe the software they're running just has a bunch of memory leaks they are correcting.

The game is nearly unplayable for me right now, I am about to give up. After I finish every other game it says there is a server error and the results don't go through. Seems like when I lose it connects and then when I win it disconnects, extremely frustrating to replay games over and over.
