What To Do With Collection Rewards

So, say I complete the Rockies 25-man collection mission and receive the 80-overall Jorge De La Rosa reward card. I have plenty of starting pitchers above 80, so I really have no need for the card.

Since I can't sell, it would make sense to just feed it to my created player or sell it on the market if there is value. Is this a correct assumption, or is there a reason I should hold on to throwback cards that I won't use?

Edit: Also, what's the black bar under the overall on throwback cards?

The black bar should say the year they're from.

Also some cards trigger missions that are like 'Blasts from the Past' which wants you to get 500 hits from players from the past which include throwbacks and legends. I'm sure there's also one for strikeouts or something but I don't personally know.
BFR's future is still TBD, stay tuned for updates

Ahh, I see that now, thanks. It must have been glitching for a while because it showed 0.

As someone, who wants to collect all the cards in the game, I'd never sell reward cards.
