The feed missions and inaide edge are a stroke of genuis

Not only do the feed missions yield great rewards, they provide value to low level cards. If I get a bunch of bronzes I'm not so sad anymore because other players want to buy them to feed to the baseball gods.

Combined with inside edge, all cards have the potential to be valued higher than they would be otherwise. On a good day a high bronze can get into silver territory. A silver can be gold on certain days. Are they having a bad day? Switch to another player who has a good match up, this increases variety in DD matches.

Having had a few weeks to see all this in action, I love it and it's only going to get better in the future.

My thread title, however, was not. That's mobile for you.

Who cares about spelling, great post.

And I agree, Inside Edge & Feed are smart additions.

Inside Edge particularly does all sorts of funny stuff to the market and to your lineup Even more pronounced on higher rated players.
Forces you to adjust both your marketing and playing strategy. Love it.

The Inside Edge ratings adjustments are definitely something that adds a lot of variety to the game. Everyday, I have to completely reset my lineup based on the ratings for that day. It allows me to actually use a lot of my collection instead of the same 25 guys every day. It makes the game much more enjoyable for me.

The problem with inside edge is that it only effects batting stats as far as I know.

I switched a lot of my OF players because they went up from for example 77 to 85, but they were terrible at fielding and defense.

But it is surely fun to vary the team from day to day

          ^ that's a good point.
On the other hand, that's what IE focuses on, offensive production. It would be difficult to implement a system that also adjusts fielding/defense.

on the fielding subject, IE would work well if AL rules were finally allowed as well. You could then for example use one of those "bad fielders" as a DH.

Well they work for pitching and hitting. You dont suddenly become a good fielder for the day based on who youre facing.

i agree, i think it is time for DD to have DH full time. I understand the strategy behind the pitcher hitting and how it changes the games but I think an overwhelming majority of players would prefer DH. Plus, thats one more card you're buying for your team.

That's right for sure. The higher overall rating is just tempting me to use this players, although it might not always be a good decision. I find fielding errors way more annoying than getting fewer hits

Feed missions are also a sneaky way at balancing the market, force someone to spend X amount of Dollars on a player to feed their player. Puts Money into the market via TAX. Takes cards off the market, and they get fed into a player. Helps a bit with balancing cards from getting out of control.

I agree! I have silver and gold players who are getting crazy bumps and produce in my line up! People like Pence and Braun get moved up to Diamond Level and kill it! Joe Panik moves up to high gold and hits great so I definitely love it

I actually thought this was a consumer friendly move. If you amass a good amount of silvers, then on any given day you're going to have some golds to play with. And if you've got some golds they are going to be a diamond every now and then.

I've never been a DD mode follower, but this year's additions are a game changer for me. I am totally immersed in the mode and haven't even touched Franchise yet, which is normally my first choice of any mode since I started playing the show back in '12.

I looked around a bit tonight and feel like I have everything down in DD, except for these feed missions, what exactly are they?

I agree, a DH would be nice. However, I also like the aspect of using pinch hitters and having a strategy on when to use them. And for some reason, I actually hit decent with my pitchers. Sometimes when there's two outs, if I like my pitcher and he has stamina left I'll just let him bat, and I've actually hit fairly well with them. Idk what it is, as most have terrible ratings, but I've gotten decent contact hits with guys like silver Chris Sale. Also I got another idea with my created DD player. I made him a pitcher, but I'm going to try to give him good batting ratings so I don't need to use pinch hitters.

I also hit nicely with Sale ! I'm not completely against the no-DH , i get the positive impact it has but I think dH makes more sense for this game mode.

As for the DD player being a pitcher, i like the concept but the truth is if he's a SP you'll only get to use him every once in a while. And if he's a RP, he will get tired before you can get many AB's from him anyhow. I prefer to make my DD guy a CF, C or 2b/ss
