Can we get some kind of trade thing started?

Do you think it would be possible to get a card trade system up and running? For example, I am an Angels fan and in order to complete my team mission, I need Trout. He costs way more stubs than I will ever be able to get. I have a gold Justin Upton and gold Cargo that I could include in a trade and it would be cool if we could figure out a way to trade cards instead of having to play the market for flipping etc.

I know I know, Upton and Cargo are not worth the same amount of stubs as Trout but it's just an example. Maybe something like a user here has to have a certain amount of posts and have been a registered member for at least a year and then you would post a player for a determined amount of stubs that only both players know and then you would be able to get those players and you could record everything to youtube or something so everything is legit.

Maybe a trade system isn't realistic but it would be cool if we could try to figure something out. Good idea or bad idea?

There is no way to trade. There is only the market.

Its not a bad idea, just hard to execute properly. In NHL, you can make trade offers, but people exploit this to complete collections on multiple accounts, and in the past, to farm coins. It would be nice to have, but for the sake of the in-game economy, its just not worth it.

But do you think users can do trades themselves using stubs? Let's say someone wants my Cargo and Upton and he has a card or cards I want. We both don't have the stubs to just buy them from the market so we both agree on a price to sell the player at and at what time. He then buys Cargo and then posts the player I want and we do this until the trade is complete. Does that make sense?

It makes sense but there is a very high probability that somebody snatches up a card not at full price before the intended recipient does. And there is nothing that could be done about it.

True, that's why the trade would have to happen at night and both parties would have to be on the screen and only discuss the players they have in private.

its still extremely risky, theres players constantly watching the market so trade high valued players like that runs a extremely high risk. if it were no name(lack of a better term) then you would probably have a easier time doing the trade.

but i know guys like Trout, etc, are pretty much ALWAYS watched.

If I want Cargo and Upton why would I take the time to find someone who has those two players and wants to sell them on here when I can just buy them off the market???

I got burned trying to sell a friend a high value Diamond card for next to no stubs last year. He was already on the buy now screen and clicked on my (the lowest priced listed which was far under the normal price) card and someone else bought it before him. It wasn't even up for 2 full seconds.

Do NOT try this unless you hate stubs.

I think SDS should implement a "Trade player" option at least for Flashbacks and Legends, since we know they won't do it for all players. Limit who u can trade to flashbacks and legends. I have 5 rookie flashbacks, and would like to trade a couple for certain rookie flashbacks, since they aren't available.

With little to no supply for the demand, our only way of getting these cards is by putting a buy now bid and hope someone takes it... That's stupid,,, period...

I'm confused. Can't I request to buy Trout for say 500 stubs and someone just goes to my bid and sells to me? Isn't that what sell now is? Can't I give a user here a list of all the cards I have and then sell them to that user for however many stubs I want to? It doesn't have to be put up for sale correct?

Why didn't he just create a sell now section and then you clicked on his sell now price?

Because people dont think, half of peoples complaints about your idea boil down to the fact that none of them thought of this very simple idea haha. Could easily find a unique, modest amount of stubs to sell for by someone putting up a buy order.

One way that I suppose it could be done is if you put the player you wish to trade on the market for a higher than average amount, have your trade partner immediately buy it now, and then to make up for the stub deficit you could have your partner place some bronze/low cost players for high amounts that no one will buy at, and you can purchase those until you have covered the fee for him purchasing the player being traded.

Then of course, you'd have to do the same with the player you're sending over.

It could definitely work, but very tedious

IMO, if they added a trade system, it should be like the one Madden has. A system involving stubs would defeat the purpose. However, they would probably add restrictions so that people don't *gasp* give good cards to their friends. For example, if you're looking to trade for a diamond card, you must offer at least 2 gold cards to the person with the diamond card. Personally, I'd love it if they put in a way to simply trade cards with other people.
