Balls and strikes that catch the edge of the zone

So I've noticed that you rarely ever gets strikes called that catch the edge of the zone. This is during online play. I know it's set to variable, but it seems like the umpires are set to NOT call strikes if a pitch isn't almost fully in the zone. Anyone else notice this, or am I paranoid?

As far as I know the rule is that if even a seam is in the zone then it's a strike.

Yea. Its been during Conquest. Balls will catch more zone than not and be called balls what seems like 80% of the time, when it should be the other way around.

I notice this more often than not also. Pitches that hit the black are called balls a vast majority of the time. Although, I have also had balls completely out of the zone called strikes and balls 100% in the zone called balls. These are very infrequent but balls catching a part of the strike zone are almost always called a ball. The only exception might be pitches low in the zone, I seem to get a lot of called strikes that are partially in the zone on low pitches.

It's minor but annoying. Hope someone notices and can fix this. Wouldn't imagine it would take a lot to correct.

I seem to get the calls when the pitches are where I intended them to go, meaning that I was dead on or close to hitting the mark on the metered pitching.

If I am off the mark and the pitch does not go where I aimed and still catches the black I find I get the call far less often.

It happens but I also see strikes called that are clearly out of the zone. They are close but not even touching the zone. What pisses me off (and I think it's due to either the game lagging or some sort of glitch) is I'll throw a pitch that ends up almost right down the middle but gets called a ball. Doesn't happen all that often but can be annoying.

It doesn't seem to be nearly as often that you get strikes called outside the zone. It happens, but rarely.

I like the variable aspect of balls and strikes, but this year I'm noticing a heavy lean towards calling balls that are on the edge of the zone.

It's kind of taking a bit of the satisfaction away from pitching.
