Player Feeder Cards?

I have seen some people mention they have an "Ichiro Feeder Card" and such in diamond dynasty...I thought you could only feed cards to your created player?

Also, can somebody please explain how the whole Captains thing works? Correct me if I am wrong, but I assume Missions is pretty much the same as last year where you just collected every card from a team and got rewarded when you did so.

There's so much new stuff in Diamond Dynasty that I am lost to say the least lol

There are three tiers of missions that sort of revolve around the "Conquest" mode. By conquering a team's stronghold in that mode, you complete the "Conquest" mission for a team. By doing so, you unlock the "Command" mission for that team. These require you to play a certain number of innings with players from that team. You can play these innings in any Diamond Dynasty game. Once you hit the prescribed innings threshold, you unlock the final tier of missions for that team, the "Embody" mission. This requires you to feed players from that team to your created player. Once you complete that mission, you get a legend for that team.

For the Mariners, you get Ichiro. Hence the "Ichiro Feeder Card".
