SDS is messing with difficulty sliders in DD

I played a few offline games early this week on Rookie and was absolutely raking. The last couple of days it is clear that SDS has increased the difficulty of offline DD games (on Rookie at least). Team was the same. Sliders are being messed with on the server end of DD by SDS.

No. But at times I would be able to win game by scoring almost twenty runs. I deduced from non-DD game and messing with difficulties that there were a few days when rookie played like beginner. The change in vs CPU difficulty occurred on at least two occasions where rookie would play like beginner and then transition back to rookie playing as rookie difficulty or perhaps even veteran.

I have found it frustrating because there are days when I want to accumulate innings in DD and rake against the CPU on the lowest difficulty and SDS bumps game difficulty.

I am going to agree with you. Before a couple days ago, on Veteran the computer would score no more than 1 run a game against me, and I'd usually have no problem winning. Now they are scoring more on Veteran. The other day on Veteran they scored 3 runs on me and I had Bumgarner pitching ... never had that happen before. I actually thought I accidentally chose a different difficulty.

Pretty sure they can't change difficulty without a patch, and there hasn't been a patch.

They can adjust difficulty settings and sliders for DD games on the server end. No patch is needed.

CPU definitely gets some "help" on DD, especially for Conquest.

I haven't played online head to head in a week or two. I came back and played four games today and all of the balls I used to hit for home runs have been warning track outs or deep fly outs.

Hmmm...I'll have to get a larger sample size, but the hitting results definitely seem more defense friendly now, but it could just be a string of bad luck.

Weird, I just pitched three straight shutouts on hall of fame difficulty with mid to high 70's pitchers. I haven't noticed any differences as far as pitching but hitting seems to have changed a little.

I'm not putting any merit to this as of yet...

But before Mon-Fri., I was raking, finally got my timing together and was feeling great, then starting Saturday and into Sunday, I can't hit a damn thing. I was thinking it's just because of sleep deprevation, we'll see tonight. I'm sure hoping it was just me and not them tinkering.

I've played about a dozen online head to head games so far this week and the amount of warning track shots and deep flys definitely seems higher than before I took a week or two off from playing the game.

I'm still using most of the same players and the same approach the plate (wait for the high fastball). And I'm still in the same online division (DS). Just for whatever reason all these pitches that used to be easy home runs have been warning tack fly outs this week.

im convinced they've done something pertaining to the cpu. I was winning games on HoF pretty easily, even with crappy teams for missions, and all of a sudden i'm giving up 3-4 HRs a game on pitches that 100% shouldn't be hit out of the park.

I have 2.14 ERA, all of a sudden I can't hold any team under 4 or 5 runs. I have better pitchers than I ever had before and they are just getting shelled, I don't get it. the umpires are calling balls on so many clear strikes, the CPU isn't swinging at anything out of the zone, and then they just randomly hit homers on pitches i've seen called for balls.

I don't like whatever they are doing to the game.

Arenado took me yard 3 times last night in Conquest on veteran. 2 pitches were low out of the zone breaking balls. Needless to say I was surprised.
One thing I noticed is how well their defense plays vs mine on higher difficulty. Adam Jones has a cannon for an arm and during higher difficulty he has a rubber arm. I am frequently surprised by what there defense can get to that mine cannot.
