It makes no sense to me why some rookie cards have missions and others don't.

Most of the rookie cards that don't have don't have missions don't have a prime card that they could potentially upgrade to.

Seriously struggling to hit doubles with my rookie Alex Gordon for his mission, whenever he middles it it goes absolutely miles. 10 homeruns but only 2 doubles so far, the lad needs to calm down a bit!

How would that help get doubles? I'm not struggling to get hits with him, I'm just hitting it too well when I do, it's either singles or homerun, no line drives into the gaps. Maybe a different stadium?

Well if you play against the yetis, I often can stretch singles into doubles

No I get the actual literal reason why. I just don't understand why they would make prime cards for some rookies but not others. David Ortiz for example. Why he doesn't have a prime card makes no sense. He's the perfect candidate for one.

Ortiz does have a prime flashback it's just not available yet. From the reddit leak it's a 93 OVR. We just don't know if it's a Postseason or Same Faces New Places Flashback

Thanks for the tips guys, I've switched stadiums to one with a huge outfield and have at least managed to get another couple of doubles. I really assumed 6 doubles would be ridiculously easy, but he really isn't playing ball. He hits it a bloody mile for someone with only power 70, he's hit like 15 homeruns now, but only the 4 doubles. I've ended up completing the Royals innings grind before even unlocking his prime version, who I thought would be useful for the grind.

Oh well, I guess I'll just keep using him until I get those last two doubles while using the rest of my team to try and get innings for the Giants and Braves, the only two teams I have left to get innings for. Chipper is going to have to ride the pine until Alex decides to start hitting line drives in the gap instead of homers

Most of the rookie cards without missions are for guys already in their prime. A few it doesn't make sense for though are Ortiz and Price. Also, that Bumgarner is odd since he has that 99 FB that hasn't been seen yet
