I'm with you. Unless I get lucky and pull them from the one pack or so I get to "buy" a month with stubs or am rewarded with them after a game, I'll never get those high-value cards. I've tried to do the card-flipping thing 4 or 5 times now and don't get it (or maybe I just don't want to spend 9 hours a day placing buy/sell orders to make a decent chunk of stubs). So I'm one of the peasants just plugging along hoping to get lucky.

I've pulled a Trout and Altuve this year. I've spent about $40 in diamond dynasty buying the 20 pack bundles but neither of my diamonds came in that bundle. I have a lineup that I like so all of the stubs I earn from playing the game, selling cards I don't want, and duplicates go straight back into buying packs for me. In total I've probably opened close to 250-300 packs this year.

When I pulled Trout I sold him for 95,000 stubs and spent all of those on packs to help me complete collections and hold players to complete some of the command and feed players. When I pulled Altuve (yesterday BTW) I turned and spent the 50,000 stubs on all of the 3K small ball packs as an experiment for me and my friends to see if there's a real tangible advantage to buying a lesser amount of 3k packs instead of more standard position player packs or 20 pack bundles

Either flip cards to make a profit or get better at Battle Royale. I turned my initial 10000 stubs into 150K through flipping cards worth at least 1000 and made another 250K from selling the Nolan Ryan and Joey Votto that I got through winning Battle Royale. Then another 100K from selling the Bryce Harper I lucked into as a 12-game reward.

It isn't easy, but you can afford to use almost any card in the game and will never have to spend a dollar on stubs if you are willing to put in a little work.

Does it take some time? YES! Is it better than paying money? YES

I got burned big time on Evan Longoria and another card when trying to flip. So now I just focus on ones that don't cost too much and will just do a lot more smaller transactions and hoping I get lucky. I don't have PlayStation Plus so I will never be able to get any cards from Battle Royale.

Dont let one bad flip scare you off from flipping. You can make so much in the market by doing orders.

I've determined it's better to buy the 1k packs than the 3k special packs.

Essentially you're paying 3 times the price for double the chance of diamond which doesn't make it worth it to me

I have spent real money, but i have also flipped to make well over 1 mill stubs. I have both of these players but i flip all the time. I am always setting orders. I do it when im at work. I check on them maybe every 30 minutes and quickly redo them if they havent been completed. Yesterday was a good day for the middle of the week and i was able to go from 58k to 78k

doing it at work is the key here to playing the market. some people who have desk jobs can probably pull this off.

Yup, and youre doubling a drop percentage that is so damn low that doubling it doesnt really do a damn thing.

like myself. i check maybe every 30-60 minutes and redo them. Although i dont do a lot during the day i still do some flips. I make most of my stubs in the evening when a lot of people are on

Getting to 6 or 12 wins is not that hard. Getting to 20 undefeated is damn near a perfect storm. You can still make 20-100K off of a 6-12 game reward. The majority of the people I play are horrible and it takes bad luck or the 1 in 50 good player to mess it up.

Is this a typo? From what I've experienced, one can't even break even with 6 game rewards. A 12 game reward may bring in about 1200-1500 stubs unless you get a really lucky draw.

There's also rumors in BR about players being able to cause freezes for their own benefit.
