It really wouldn't make sense for the developers to discourage people from spending money. They make more off of micro transactions than they do from sales. I get its frustrating for people that don't or can't afford to spend real money, but i dont see why they would stop when people are dropping hundreds if not thousands of $$$ on something that costs them absolutely nothing to create. I mean if I could sell bottled air for $100 I sure as heck would be out there selling them each and every day!

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
Lol why is Reggie Jackson being brought up? The Yankee collection isn't that hard to complete to get him.
I'm ranked around 1650 and while I've seen a few stacked teams I've only once seen team like people claim to be seeing all the time with all the top players. I've yet to see the collection reward Arod, Stocker or Robinson outside of BR.
I'd say at my rank I'm still seeing more teams than not that still have low end golds or high silvers at positions.
And as much as people don't want to here it. Skill has A LOT to do with success. I've seen pretty stacked teams that couldn't do anything with their players and I've been crushed by guys with silvers in their line up.
I dunno maybe I've been lucky in the 50+ H2H games I've played but I'm just not seeing the crazy teams with as much consistency as some others seem to be. Add in the fact you can build a diamond team without spending a cent through feed missions and that great players don't always equal success. I just don't see the problem. Seems pretty balanced to me.

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
Never understand how people complain about this so much. You can have a full diamond too but if you aren't putting in the time or money wtf do you expect?
I had a diamond at every position besides LF and my pitchers without spending anything besides the $10 extra to get the deluxe edition. Inside edge is also there for a reason you can get silvers/golds who on a good inside edge day can be elite in certain categories.Comment

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
I just want Bronze ranked, Silver Ranked and then normal ranked.
This would give the market more depth as the good bronzes would be worth more as they would actually be used etc
If that's too much, just search by team rating so all the guys who've bought best possible 9 can go and bunt against each other and I can play some interesting games against even teams.Comment

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
Haha funny you bring up the bunting. I finally saw the white whale last night. I knew this team and perfect d bag owner to run it must exist. The team was made up of only guys like Dee Gordan, Brantley, Carl Crawford(FB), Lofton, Ichiro etc... And he bunted about 90% of the time. He was getting bunt hits against the bunt defense half the time. Then once on base he just stole around to third and bunted them in. The most frustrating part was he rarely drag bunted. Their bunt ratings were so high they placed perfect bunts while sacrifice bunting every time lol. Very frustrating game.

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
They could add a game option for team ratings between certain ranges. Say under 70, between 70-75, 75-80, you get the idea. This would allow you to make different teams based on how you feel like playing that day. So you know before match making the other team might have one diamond at most...Comment

In addition to the OP suggesting different tiers of ranked I wish we could stick all these kinds of players in their own unique MLB hell so the only people they can do this to is each other. I'm not against bunts, these things actually happen, it's just way too easily abused in this game in addition to the super base-running+slow fielding, even with bunt defense on.Comment

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
What was the final if you don't mind me asking? I have Ichiro and my created player are both highly skilled in bunting and stealing bases. I won't cheese and bunt every time but if I don't see the third baseman in on the grass, you bet your *** I'm going to be laying down a bunt. The success rate should go down though, I agree. I'm always up for a fair matchup. Add me on PSN
9-1 I think? He got 5 runs in the first before I even really knew what was happening haha. I was able to limit it a bit after that but the team was just too perfect for that strategy. It seemed like every time I went into bunt defense he either slapped it past my infield(a normal out) or he bunted anyway and it was still a hit smh.
I mean I guess I can't really blame him. He built a perfect team to take advantage of weakness of the gsme. Bunts are just way more perfect than they should be on a regular basis. I think in all that bunting he only bunted 1 or 2 foul.

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
What about throwing it high and inside? I played a guy who wasn't very disciplined at the plate. He tried to bunt with all of his speed guys and I just threw it up and in, resulting in either a pop out or strike out.
I have Seager at third base and he has an awesome glove but his arm strength isn't the best. I might have to invest in a more solid third baseman to combat these jokers.

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
Somehow, pitches high and in still get bunted perfectly down the line a lot of the time. What I've been doing is just throwing big curveballs in the dirt and fastballs at eye level. That seems to work pretty well. I just finished a game vs a guy and I won 4-2. He scored both runs in the first on back-to-back bunts and then an error and didn't get another hit until the 8th inning... and he continued trying to bunt with his 1-3 hitters all game.Comment

Re: Kind of Obnoxious
100 mph FB up and in and he drags it perfectly. Really hope it's addressed but I have a feeling that, like catchers popping instantly out of their crouch, it's probably so deep in the code they'll never fix it.
